7 Raft System Raft System for Garden Buildings Our raft system with its simple common sense approach offers you an excellent alternative to the more traditional concrete or slab base. This method allows more air flow and much less water is in contact with the floor bearers, keeping the building dry, which makes your building last longer. The raft system avoids the need to dig a foundation or wait for concrete to set, enabling us to lay the raft and erect your building on the same day. Not only does this simple system save you money and is kinder to the environment, it is easy to reposition your building, should you need to do so, saving you breaking up the old concrete and disposing of it. To install a raft all we ask of you is to ensure the area is levelled prior to our arrival. We recommend that you treat your shed after it has been erected and every year thereafter. The base should ideally be made of concrete, slabs or our raft system method. Most importantly IT MUST BE LEVEL. Ideally the base should be the same size as the floor size of the building. It is important to have guttering so as to prevent splash back and any further water penetration. Providing that our recommendations are followed, we offer a one year guarantee on all our buildings. This guarantee excludes storm/wind damage. TELESHEDS PROMISE YOU A COMPLETE SHED FOR THE PRICE YOU SEE Access: It is important to check for access to ensure that the panels can be taken with ease to the point where the building is to be erected. Due to health and safety, our erectors will not carry panels over fences or garages etc. Whilst every care is taken in purchasing the correct grade of timber for shed construction, timber, being a natural product does shrink and expand according to weather and temperature. Knot holes and cracks can occur during this process. This is unfortunately beyond our control. The roofing felt we use is new and specially formulated for use on garden sheds. Occasionally the felt can wrinkle; this is due to temperature changes and not to any fault in the product. HOW TO ORDER YOUR TeleShed 1.
