2 Alder & Rustic Alder Alder is a soft hardwood with fine, straight grain and even texture. The color is uniform and ranges from light tan to honey colored, with no difference between heartwood and sapwood. Small clusters of minor knots are characteristic. Alder takes stains well and finishes beautifully. Rustic Alder For those customers looking for a natural, rustic look in their cabinetry, CWP offers a Rustic Grade material that may be used in most doors and drawer heads. This Rustic Grade material includes knots and other sound defects. The knots are of varying size, both sound and unsound defects, but not see through. The distinct elements of the wood, wormholes, and any other sound characteristics make this material rich in character. The material will not be matched for color and may have both sapwood and heartwood present in varying amounts. 3 Cherry & Rustic Cherry Cherry s classic, smooth grain finish, deep rich-red color, and stability make it an elegant choice for fine cabinetry. Strong, stiff and moderately hard, Cherry is exceptionally stable and unsurpassed in its finishing qualities. An occasional bird peck or gum spot will be found in some pieces, which enhances Cherry s distinct character. Unique in its photosensitivity, Cherry s reddish color deepens with age to warm, dark brown hue. Rustic Cherry For those customers looking for a natural, rustic look in their cabinetry, CWP offers a Rustic Grade material that may be used in most doors and drawer heads. 5 Lyptus Lyptus is a beautiful hardwood that has received overwhelming praise among professionals for its workability, machining properties, density, finish ability, overall strength, sustainability and exotic appeal. It is an ideal hardwood for cabinetry, millwork, furniture and flooring. The grain is straight, even and coarse-textured, with a slight pinkish hue. 6 Maple The value of hard Maple is its strength, wear resistance, and beauty. Maple is a wood that is evenly textured with a natural luster. While the grain is usually straight, it can also appear wavy or curly. Decorative growth patterns can be found in Maple such as bird s-eye, maple burl, leaf and fiddleback. These characteristics of maple add to its highly prized beauty and luster. It is hard and highly shock-resistant with excellent matching characteristics and uniform coloration. Red Oak is a dense, open, hard-grained wood with varying vertical and arch patterns. Dark mineral streaks are common and enhance the attractive texture of Red Oak wood. 8 Pine Knotty Pine s evenly grained softwood ranges in color from vanilla to brown with a reddish hue. Distinctive knots, ranging in size, shape and color, are a familiar feature of Pine wood. These striking patterns give Knotty Pine a charming appearance. The density of Pine wood varies from hard around the knots to soft in other areas. This variation in density can cause variation in finish absorption. Light distressing is included as standard on all Knotty Pine orders. 9 Walnut Our Walnut features both lighter sapwood and deeper heartwood. Colors offer a high contrast, ranging from creamy brown to a beautiful dark chocolate brown with rich purplish undertones. Black Walnut is normally straight-grained and is noted for its beautiful grain character, producing more figure variation than any other wood. Ceruse is a white additive that was originally used in cosmetics until artisans discovered that it was beautiful as an accent color on porous woods. When applied to a wood such as Oak, the white pigment fills and highlights grain without changing the overall color of the wood s finish. CWP Cabinetry offers this old-world technique with a custom twist by providing limitless Ceruse options. Add the white Ceruse technique to any stain, paint or paint match color. CWP also provides the textured technique in multiple oak specie. You can choose between red or white oak and quarter sawn red Oak or white Oak.

When you add in our availability of every door style in every wood specie, we have hundreds more door options than most other cabinet manufacturers. Overlay availability is listed below every door style name. Slab DOOR STYLE TYPES Shaker Recessed Panel Raised Panel CWP Slab doors are made of solid wood or wood veneer with varying square or eased edge applications. CWP Shaker doors are built with the same Reverse Raise panel as our Recessed Panel doors. The Shaker style provides a clean and simple look and has proven to be one of the most popular and enduring furniture trends in America. CWP Recessed Panel doors are always built with a solid Reverse Raise panel, never with a thin veneer panel. The flat side of this panel faces forward, with the raise rising forward toward the back of the door. This maintains girth, reduces rattle and provides color consistency by allowing us to always use solid wood with our stained offerings. Raised Panel doors have a solid center panel that rises from the door frame. These panels are available with several profile options and offer many decorative possibilities.
