1 Information sheet GlamLinea serie I Lucidi - MaxiTop CARATTERISTICHE: Prefinished wooden floor, three-layered with joints. Thickness mm 15, width mm145/190, length mm 1800/2100. Wooden floor for internal areas, laying-down by gluing or by floating, in compliance with UNI EN 13489:2004 norm. NOBLE LAYER: The range GlamLinea I Lucidi - MaxiTop has a thicknes of 4mm of noble wood and it is available in the following wood species: European Oak. SUPPORT: The particular support is made of a planking of fir or others wood species equivalent for features and quality, counterbalanced with a layer of veneer wood of the same wood species, coming from plantation raw materials of recent cut, positioned as opposed of the noble wood veins. This, together with the singular manufacturing technique, guarantees a perfect stability and resistance during the years. Gluing of the noble layer and of the support is executed with high-resistant glues, without toxic components- that are dangerous for the human being s health and environment conditions. CLASSES: - Prime : material of first choice, mixed striped and flamed veins, possibile presence of little knots and mild colour shades changes. Defects are excluded. WORKING PROCESSES: Every single element is processed with tongue/groove joints, bevelled on 4 sides. I Lucidi MaxiTop is available in the following working processes: - Pre-sanded: it is executed to make smooth the surface of the noble layer and so to remove all the irregularities, through the use of abrasives of different granulometries, before the varnishing. - Brushing: it is the process that removes the wood soft part, with the use of particular brushes, gives to wood a rustic FINISHES: aspect and also much more usury resistance. - Glam shining varnish: the working process s executed applying many coats of acrylic varnish, with a quantity of about 850 gr/mq, without solvents. It is 100 gloss shine. This protection coat has been studied in order to obtain the best performances of resistance and protection against usury and also to obtain the bet shine. - Painting: art of painting wood is known since ancient times, since Egyptian and Persian ages. Paint allows to give to wood the wished colour without the covering effect of lacquering. Final colour of a paint is influenced by the wood species shades and by the number of coats applied. Therefore, after the painting, veins, their textures and knots interference patterns realized are still well visible, leaving to wood this inimitable feature that makes it unique and alive. - Decapè: by the French word decaper that means to cover the covering. This is indeed the main step of the process that removes the superficial patina of an element in order to age and ruin it, It it the shabby chic technique for excellence. RECCOMENDATIONS FOR THE STORING AND LAYING-DOWN: For the laying-down it is recommended to trust in skilled personal (see norm UNI 11265); Stock goods in a area that is dry, covered and far from humidity sources, never directly at contact with the ground. Store and lay-down the parquet in areas with a humidity value between +18 C and +20 C and humidity bet ween 45% and 60%. Be shore that all the works, in particular of masonry, are ended.
2 For the laying-down, once carried out the test of goods, it is necessary to carry on by mixing elements of different packages. Packages must be open only at the start of the laying-down. Before starting to lay wood elements it is important to test the ground on which wood must be laid, it must be homogeneous on the surface and on its whole thickness: - Superficial flatness: placing a ruler 2 meters long, check that there are no holes greater than 2/3 mm (UNI norm); - Compactness: acting with a hammer hitting the surface of the screed, there must not create gaps and deep bashes (UNI norm); - Hardness: with the point of a nail engrave the surface of the screed, there must not create deep furrows, engraving must not create dust (UNI norm); - Fissures and cracks: it is possible the formation of little fissures due to the natural movement of the screed. In case of great fissures, those must be consolidated with apposite products (UNI norm); - Cleaning: before staring to lay-down, clean accurately the surface of the screed, without leaving traces of oils, waxes, detaching elements, dust, paint spots, residues of any other substance that can be compromising for the glue applied or that can create height differences (UNI norm); - Steam barrier: check the presence of an appropriate steam barrier (UNI norm); - Floor-heating system: in case of presence of a floor-heating system it is necessary to ask the engineer to execute the thermal shock, through a gradual heating of the screed (norm UNI EN ). Check suitability of the choose wood specie. - Check of the content of humidity of the laying surface: pay a lot of attention at the check of the humidity content of the screed before laying-down; the check must be made by a carbide hygrometer; the noticed values must not be higher than 2% of the screed weight for the screeds made of traditional or rapid cement, then 1,7 % for the heating screeds, than 0,4% of the screeds made of anhydride and than 10% for the wood panels. - Application: check the compatibility of the used glue with the kind of wooden floors and with the method of laying. - By laying-down by floating system, parquet is directly laid on the floor without gluing it at the screed but simply putting a little of glue between a plank and the other, along the layer; between parquet and screed it is used to lay a mat that can have a lot of purposes, the most important one is the purpose of soundproofing and also stem-barrier. Wooden floor is kept down by itself weight and doesn t give any problem, indeed this system of laying is commonly diffused for its easiness. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MAINETINANCE AND CLEANING: For informations about the products that must be used for cleaning and maintenance, ask an advised to the staff that has executed the laying. The climate of the room must be kept between +18 C and +20 C and the humidity mu st be between 45% and 60%, values advised also for the health of the human-being. It is also advised to place at the entrances of rooms door mats for the cleaning of shoes and, under the furniture s feet, appropriate felts. Avoid to charge great weight in concentrated parts of the floor, they can cause bruises; for the moving of heavy loads it is better to adopt some preventive measures using wool cloths on which drag the loads. To remove the dust is better to use vacuum cleaner or a soft sweep. Mop un with a damp cotton cloth on the whole surface. For ordinary maintenance it is advised to use the specific products that Friulparchet can supply, these can be used with few and simple indications; as an alternative appropriate neutral cleaners can be used, these must not be aggressive and foamy. Stagnation of water can damage the wooden floor. Solvents, whitener and ammonia can damage the surface treatments of the floors. For extraordinary maintenance is better to trust in skilled employees. Wood is a natural element, oxidation (the change of colour shades) is a normal phenomenon, caused by the exposition of wood at natural light, for this reason it is recommended to move periodically carpets in the first period after the laying down. COMPLAINTMENTS: The test of the product must be made at the moment of the return and anyway before the laying-down. Utilization or alienation of goods by the consumer represents the recognition of its correspondence with what settled before.
