1 Installation Instructions Pedestal Lavatory Thank you for selecting VitrA. VitrA makes everything you could dream of for the bathroom and they all share one thing-the highest quality. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BEGIN The lavatory is shipped in two boxes. One contains the lavatory and the other has the pedestal. TOOLS AND MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION Adjustable or socket wrench Putty knife Plumbers putty or caulking Pipe wrench Drill Tubing cutter Level Phillips screwdriver Regular screwdriver Basin wrench Saber saw Hacksaw Tape measure Pump plyers Risk of chipping or breaking. Remember to place the unit on carpet or cardboard during installation. Avoid dropping tools onto the ceramic units to eliminate any damage. Save this instruction sheet for future reference concerning this product s operation and maintenance. INSTALLING PEDESTAL LAVATORY NOTE: If replacing an existing lavatory, shut off the water supply before removing the old lavatory. 1 Put the pedestal in the desired location. Place the lavatory temporarily on the pedestal and balance it with a level. Place carefully the lavatory on the pedestal against the wall where the lavatory is to be located. Use a level to be sure the lavatory is level Mark the location of the holes on the wall. Remove the lavatory from the pedestal and place it on carpet or cardboard. Drill two 1/2 holes and put the two plastic lag anchors into the drilled holes. If mounting to wall studs drill a 5/16 hole instead. Mark the pedestal location on the floor. Caulk around the pedestal base where the base meets the floor after the lavatory is positioned and fixed into place. The product is not steady until it is fixed to the wall.

2 5 Before placing the lavatory onto the pedestal, install the faucet and drain (not included). Place the lavatory again in position on the pedestal. Tighten with a wrench and place plastic washers over the lag screws with the smaller end on first, followed by 1 1/2 metal fender washers and nuts and tighten securely. Connect water supply lines to the faucet. Caulk where the lavatory is placed on the pedestal and where the pedestal is placed on the floor if it is needed. Risk of chipping or breaking; do not over tighten the installing nuts. PARTS SUPPLIED WITH THE UNIT: A packet including; threaded bolts (2), caps and plastic lag anchors (2). INSTALLING PEDESTAL WITH SIDE HOLES (WITH PERFORATED BRACKET) 1 Place the pedestal temporarily into position. Draw the base borders and mark on the base. Mark the mounting hole on the floor. 2 Install the saddle piece (X+5) mm inside the borderline of the pedestal, mark the fixing holes and fix perforated L bracket on the floor. (X=thickness of the ceramic) 3 Place the pedestal into position. While doing that, take the marks into consideration. Mount the plastic gasket to the bolt. Pass the screw and the plastic gasket through the hole and fix the pedestal to the floor. Place plastic bolt caps on the bolt heads. PARTS SUPPLIED WITH THE UNIT: A packet including; threaded bolts (4), caps and plastic lag anchors (2), plastic gaskets (2), perforated L brackets (2), metal washers (2). CARE and MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS: Your new pedestal lavatory can provide you with years of service. Cleaning should be done on a regular basis. The use of scouring powders is not recommended to prevent damage to the glaze. Wipe all outside surfaces with a soapy water solution and clean the bowl area with a non-abrasive type cleanser. The use of cleansers containing chlorine will cause damage and are not recommended. REPAIR PARTS INFORMATION: Replacement parts should be obtained from VitrA - USA. 6 INSTALLING TRAP COVER WITH WALL MOUNT LAVATORY B- With spring mounting (Total 6 steps) 1 Install the lavatory. 2 Attach the spring to the proper hole on the small metal lag. 3 Place the lags through the big holes onto the ends of the bolts. 4 Fix in position with retaining nuts. 5 The nuts are tightened to keep the tag and the spring on the bolts. 6 Position trap cover under the lavatory, pull down the spring and attach each spring into the hole on each side of the trap cover. Risk of chipping or breaking; do not over tighten the installing nuts. PARTS SUPPLIED WITH THE UNIT: For Wall Mount Lavatory: A packet including; threaded bolts (2), caps and plastic lag anchors (2). For Trap Cover to Section A: A packet including; Vitra-fix set.
