11 Exclusive to Antons and Avon Supplied with a tilting floor stand, the machine can be operated from the front or back, and has a three stage pneumatic foot pedal that activates the Horizontal and Vertical Clamp which secures the moulding during the joining process. After the operator sets the two position stops for measuring the max distance between strokes, a hand lever is then used to position and actuate the V-Nail Driver Assembly inserting V-Nails anywhere along the pre-set stroke distance. Easy field replacement enables a quick change to a different clamping pad depending on joining applications. All clamping pads are interchangeable with magnetic and single metal pressure plates. Three different pads are available based on moulding hardness, contour, finishes or coatings. 27 CHANGING MORSO BLADES WHEN THE CUTTING QUALITY IS NO LONGER SATISFACTORY, FOR EXAMPLE UNCLEAN CUT SURFACES WITH DENTS, THIS IS A SURE SIGN YOUR MORSO BLADES NEED TO BE CHANGED Exclusive to Antons and Avon HOW TO GUIDE STEP 1: Screws (3), (4) + (5) are loosened with spanner (nv 17). STEP 2: Remove screws (3) + (5). STEP 8: The knives are pressed together at the front point. The knives must meet precisely at the front point and neither front edge must be further ahead. STEP 3: Remove screw (4) from knife (1) while pressing the knife against the knife block (6) with your hand so that the knife will not fall down. STEP 4: Remove the knife. TAKE CARE OF YOUR FINGERS. STEP 9: Check if the cutting edges of the knives are in exactly the same height. If not, the knives can be moved up or down separately until the correct position is reached. STEP 10: Fasten the screws (3) (in both knives). STEP 5: The same procedure with the opposite knife (2). STEP 6: Clean the surfaces of the knife block and the new knives very carefully as even the smallest impurity between knife and knife block (6) will cause that the knives go too hard against the bottom knives (7) + (8). STEP 11: Insert the screws (4) and fasten them. STEP 12: Fasten screws (5) STEP 13: Start the machine. STEP 14: Make a trial cut STEP 7: Both new knives (1) + (2) are fitted on the knife block (6) with the screws (3) + (5). Do not fasten the screws. This head offers the greatest versatility with cut detail and overall useability. Excellent cut quality from V-grooves and foil mats up to 3.5mm (8-ply) thick rag mat can be produced. Red 45 Front Bevel Cut The 45 bevel head produces a wider, more dramatic bevel-edge that many customers have become accustomed to. This cutting head works well on all mat types up to 3.5mm (8-ply) thick rag; however it is somewhat limited in its ability to cut very fine detail and small radius curves. Blue 45 Rear Surface Bevel Cut Rear surface bevel cut designed especially for cutting mats on the non-presentation side. This cutting head is used when a delicate surface mat may be damaged by one of the front surface bevel cutting heads, or when cutting very thick or dense mats up to 4.4mm (12-ply) thick rag. The 45 rear surface head can also be used to cut foamboard with a bevel, enabling the creation of thick mat spacers or foamboard deep-bevel fabric wraps. Yellow 90 Multi Material For cutting of foamboard, softer, thicker foamcore materials and corrugated cardboard up to 5mm (3/16 ) thick. Plastic (PVC) and hardboard (backing board) material can also be cut from 2mm to 3mm (0.078" to 0.118") thick. It also uses a wide glide pad instead of a roller to avoid indentation of the softer foamboard surface. White 90 Matboard For cutting openings or sizing of mat board, up to 5mm (3/16") thick. Eliminates the sharp mat edges that can be difficult to handle when sized with a sharp bevel cut. Purple Embossing Tool A unique embossing tool for creating subtle, yet distinctive mat decoration and accents. Any shape or corner design, as well as fonts and clip art can be elegantly embossed into the mat surface. This tool can also be used to create scored creases on either side of a mat to help with folding mat board or cardboard for custom boxes and other items. Grey 90 Straight Cut Designed specifically for the vacuum series. Due to the round and wide Teflon foot, it guarantees a wider cutting footprint and superior accuracy especially on thick and hard material, max 5mm (3/16 ).
