2 At the end of the Sixth Decade in the Second Millennium, the Technology Wars took a turn toward revolution with the emergence of a powerful force dedicated to freedom. Our hero FX emerged from the developing prowess of these freedom fighters and enabled a generation of free citizens to explore new landscapes of cybernetically accelerated worlds. But dark times have once again settled across nations and networks. The Tech Overlords have risen again to fetter the masses with substandard solutions, proprietary products, and archaic architectures. The people are crying out for someone to free their minds and spirits from the dull confines of this cruel, iron-fisted regime. They want to see and feel the vibrant worlds that are waiting just beyond their limits. The people need a champion. In an undisclosed location, not so far away FX has assembled a core of master ninjas, developing their elite squad with new abilities and vivid powers. Their skills combined, FX can unlock a full-scale attack with swiftness and muscle beyond all experience in the ether worlds. And joining them on their mission to penetrate the inner sanctum of the Overlord Syndicate and free technology users everywhere, Agent Ruby whose reputation for graphic destruction needs no introduction. THEY NOW EMPLOY A PAIRED FIGHTING STRATEGY THAT DEMONSTRATES A FINESSE AND ATHLETIC ELEGANCE PREVIOUSLY UNHEARD OF, EVEN AMONG THE BRIGHTEST TECHNICAL MASTERS. 7 First we tried to confuse them with 3D holographic projections, but they quickly recognized, transcoded, and sorted out our deception. Then we initiated a series of diversions to draw them away from the main points of action, but so far we ve failed to do anything but increase the FX support base. We fired our ultrasonic ray gun, but they used it metronomically to create hypnotic waves of energy that beat down our defenses. We just attempted to overload their net communications with a massive data attack, but they overcame our efforts and turned it back on us.
