The Christmas Akahi Dala pattern coin is the same historic designs issued by King Kalakaua in Furthermore, it is our goal to provide you with not only the best coins, but service too. We apologize for our slow record. The Admission Day Dala surprised everyone. Said Bernard: "When 1 wrote in announcing the coin, that it may be our smallest issue, had no idea that any coin could be so popular." The final mintage issued was 9819 beautiful Silver Dalas, 296 in Gold and 6874 in bronze. Eldon attributes the success to good response from MintLine, the Kamaaina (Hawaii residents), collectors, great advertising, and a special promotion at Andrade's department store in The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. The obverse die of Queen Liliuokalani is a totally new die with 25% more relief and much finer detail. The reverse with large type and many words, also proved to be very popular.
