2 SHORT SYNOPSIS Movies Contain the Essence of Being Human Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and the gang would have only one reason to pull off their most ambitious and risky casino heist to defend one of their own. When ruthless casino owner Willy Bank (Al Pacino) double-crosses one of the original Ocean's eleven Reuben Tishkoff (Elliott Gould) Danny and the gang team up one more time to see if they can break "the Bank."

He is currently in production on the romantic comedy Leatherheads, which he is directing and producing from a screenplay he co-wrote. Clooney is also starring in the film opposite Renée Zellweger. 7 ARTIST HIGHLIGHT Filmmakers are Revolutionaries, Not Just Entertainers STEVEN SODERBERGH (Director) won an Academy Award for Best Director for his 2000 ensemble drama Traffic. He had earned dual Best Director Oscar nominations that year, also receiving one for Erin Brockovich, starring Julia Roberts in her Oscar-winning performance. Soderbergh had earlier gained an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay for sex, lies, and videotape, which marked his feature film directorial debut. The film also won the Palme d Or at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival.

Two members of Ocean's crew, The Malloy Brothers, are named Virgil (Casey Affleck) and Turk (Scott Caan). This is a reference to The Godfather (1972) in which Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) guns down a character named Virgil "The Turk" Sollozzo. Scott Caan co-stars with Al Pacino in this film. His father, James Caan, played Sonny Corleone in The Godfather (1972), which was Pacino's breakthrough role in Hollywood.
