India is looking for her Dad but then gets dragged into an adventure that she couldn't possibly dream of. At one point it is quite sad but it's a secret so you'll have to read it to find out. Just as a warning it does have a bit of swearing in. My favourite character was Calculas (Calc) because, he is an android and I think he's really cool! It's difficult to choose my favourite part because it's all so good but one of my favourite parts is when they have found the door to Ironheart and get attacked. I would recommend this book to all my friends. Rohan Delamere, age 8 This is an amazing book about a battle to live, win the race to the fortress of Ironheart and save the world. This is book about a girl called India Bentley who's father went missing in Siberia, whilst looking for Ironheart, the fortress that contained the secrets of the old world. This was much more advanced than the world India lives in so India goes looking for her father with a tech hunter and her android, Calculus. What I especially like about this book is that in the future they are less advanced then us! My favourite character is Calculus because I think that androids will get created soon. I give this book 8 and a half out of 10 and recommend it for

2 ages 8 to 12 children who like adventure stories and future worlds. Lucy Minton, age 10 This was a truly amazing read. Ironheart is the story of India Bentley. Stuck in Northern London, she wonders if she'll ever be able to rescue her dad - assumed by all except her to be dead, until she meets a tech-hunter and her android... This is a thrilling tale mixed with intriguing characters. I liked it because there were so many twists and runs in the plot which helped the story develop into a fantastic read. I also enjoyed the way the author described the setting - I could picture it. I would really recommend this book. Overall this was a truly amazing read - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Susanna Wagstaff, age 11 India, the main character, has a rough time, but that's why she's the tough girl everyone will love to read about! She survives so many obstacles, but when it comes to the last one, will she make it? Ironheart is a book unlike any other. It has such amazing inventions, plot twists and characters. My favourite character would have to be Calculus, techhunter Verity s android bodyguard. He stands up for the others, and is a vital part of the main plot. India is your average hero, with a twist. There are so many points where you think, what is she doing???, but you later realise India is one step ahead of everyone else. The book is impossible to put down, every time you get to the end of a chapter, you think I ve got to stop reading, I need to do my homework, but you only manage to tear yourself away after at least another three chapters. Poor India has a rough start, but that s defiantly what helps her survive the tough journey to remote Siberia, where she must find her Dad, who disappeared looking for Ironheart, a mythical fortress where many treasures and secrets lie. However, if used by the wrong person, the whole world could be destroyed. Will India make it in time? Adiella Norridge, age 10 A fast-paced science fiction fantasy, full of twists and turns.

3 Set in the future in a time of global warming that has turned London into a big lake, Ironheart is a fast-paced science fiction adventure about India Bentley, a girl whose father has gone missing while working in Siberia. Her search for him sees her involved in an adventure to save the world from catastrophe. Ironheart has a complicated and very dramatic plot set in a time of conflict, with lots of unexpected twists and turns. The character descriptions are very detailed and really help you develop an image of the characters in your mind, from the stubborn and courageous India to the evil of Lucifer Stone. This book is suitable for both girls and boys who love exciting and fast-moving fantasy and science fiction. Sam Harper, age 10 India Bentley has a miserable life trying to survive in a London which has been destroyed by floods. She lives in a damp cottage with her sister Bella and evil stepmother Roshanne. She misses her father terribly since he disappeared whilst searching for oil in Siberia. It looks like India's life is going from bad to worse until she meets Verity Brown, a tech-hunter, and her android Calculus, and their adventure begins. The three friends travel to Siberia, searching for India's father and Ironheart, a secret treasure trove. They must find their way through a frozen land, with many strange creatures and reindeer people, as they are chased by the villain, Lucifer Stone. But who will win the race to Ironheart? Ironheart is a fantastic adventure with lots of twists and turns. I loved the cold, Siberian world and I thought that India made a brilliant and brave heroine. A fast paced and exciting story. I can't wait to read about more of India's adventures! Khadijah, age 18 Ironheart [i-ron-hart] - noun. 1. An exciting story full of danger and adventure, plus a fantastic set of diverse characters combined with great prose. This is just the sort of post-apocalyptic read I have been looking for - for yonks! Which explains why I finished it in one day. Ironheart reminds me of Flood Child, by Emily Diamand and I would recommend it to all readers; young and old alike!

4 Charlotte Rosevear, age 10 Amazing book I could not put it down. This is is a story about a girl named India, who sets off to find her father, who had gone missing, also to get away from her step mum, Roshanne. India travels with a tech- hunter, Verity brown and Calculus, her Android body guard and they make a trip to remote Siberia, to go to the place that her dad went missing and to find more business with Mr. Stone, known as Lucifer Stone. Mr. Stone is Verity's boss, and he runs the Trans - Siberian Company. He is the richest man in Siberia and teases people who are not up to his standards, that includes a lot of people. But Verity is not the only one looking for IronHeart. If she dosn t find Ironheart before Stone she might find him ruling the world but, if she does succeed to find Ironheart, a metorite might blow up the World. A LOSE - LOSE Situation. Or is it??? I can not wait for the sequal The Sun Machine to come out in January in 2015!!!!! Chloe Pickering, age 10 This book was exciting and fascinating. I couldn't stop to put it down. This text tells the story of a girl, a woman, a father, a mean man and an android. It is gripping and fun but scary at times. The text explains the adventure of India Bentley. Her father went missing months ago in Siberia so she sets off there to try and find him and the cavern Ironheart where her father went missing. Ayah Osman, age 10 Ironheart is a phenomenal book about an ordinary girl on a dangerous and mysterious adventure to find her father. I really like what the book is based on, an unknown place called Ironheart. I would like to find out why India's father went to Ironheart and why he went alone. I think he wanted to find out what was there before the ruler of Angeltown did. Maybe there were dangerous weapons that could wipe out a

5 whole country. But whatever the reason for going I bet it was a good one! Ironheart is very exciting, because everytime something terrible happens there is a solution followed by another problem. This kept me gripped to the plot, especially when India received a guide pet to keep her protected. I would give Ironheart 10 out of 10 as it brings up so many questions for the reader to think about and keeps you gripped throughout. Nia Lamptey, age 10 It is about a young girl called India, who's father goes missing while searching for Ironheart. Ironheart is a secret place that contains many valuable treasures and secrets. She goes on this journey with the help of two friends, one being an android. I enjoyed the book because there were lots of detailed descriptions of the settings for example when they're travelling across the ice. Additionally there are lots of interesting characters with different personalities. I would highly recommed this book as I really enjoyed reading it. Cassie Fernandes, age 9 This story is very intense and lively! It s about a girl called India Benetly who goes on an amazing adventure with lots of different people at different times! This book was funny, different and even scary at times, but it was very fast moving which was very interesting. The story line was intense making you want to read more, as it draws you into a world of adventure and mystery. I recommend this book highly, as it s the most interesting book I have ever read. The wonderful thing about this book is that is so different to other books. I enjoyed this book very much.
