2 C u r a t e d C o n t e n t A N o t e F r o m C a r l o s C a g i n V i c e P r e s i d e n t D e v e l o p m e n t Dear Mandarin Family, My grandparents Elliot and Eleanor Goldstein first met in a public library in Newark, N.J., over 60 years ago, and have since devoted their lives to promoting libraries as hubs of information and learning. They formed their company Social Issue Resource Series (SIRS) in 1973, providing curated catalogs of periodical articles about longstanding social issues. Over time, those catalogs migrated online, and in 1995, they acquired Mandarin Library Automation to enhance their digital offerings. The core mission of SIRS was to deliver curated, relevant information to students through their library and librarians, and this legacy inspires our vision for Mandarin moving forward. Today, we are thrilled to announce a partnership with TABvue and its publishers, offering curated, relevant content directly through the Mandarin platform.
