3 Live sound on the road that is powerful and emotional: as far as performance goes, the new amplifiers accept no compromises. After all, superlative sound is standard for all amps from AXTON. Developed for pure mobile power and punchy dynamic response, this latest amp series lines up with great sounding Class A/B technology. A lot has been invested into the innards, the features and design of this new amplifier generation. Massive heatsinks of black anodized die-cast aluminum bear witness to the above average cooling capacity, which is especially important at higher power outputs. Compared with their predecessors, the new power amplifiers clearly have a better performance, not least because they use Sanken output transistors. The technical and sound highlight of the AXTON AXC systems is the AXC-T25 tweeter, which is also available separately. It has a 25 mm titanium dome with neodymium magnet and a rear aluminum heat sink to ensure stable operating temperature. De-spite the 25 mm standard size, the tweeter is very flat due to the inverted dome structure and can therefore be installed anywhere. The AXC-T25 impresses with its clear, fine sound and its outstanding low directivity at high frequencies. The flat enclosure with cover plate of brushed aluminum is a real eye-catcher. Optimised features based on experience: the high frequency level and connection polarity can be optimally matched to the vehicle acoustics by a slide switch on the crossover. Till now that is for the new AXB bass reflex boxes are designed to surpass the performance of their legendary predecessors. Using the very latest simulation tools such as Klippel system analysis and AJ Horn software woofer and enclosure parameters have been selectively optimized so that box size, volume and relevant parts of the deployed woofers are perfectly matched. Bred for high bass output, the two new boxes convert 100 per cent of the woofers magnet force into merciless sound pressure. Due to the stiff and rigid low resonance MDF enclosures, the high-performance woofers are able to transform full input power into deep bass response. With 29.5 x 34.5 x 37.5 cm outer dimensions, the design is indeed uncompromisingly compact. This active sub lines up with real acoustical depth: at 500 watts peak, the integrated full MOSFET Class D amplifier is certainly powerful enough to produce impressive bass pressure. The high maximum bass output therefore also makes the AB25A suitable for larger vehicles up to Van class. In the AB25A, a 10 bass driver works with a passive radiator cone tuned to 40 Hz. Phase shift, input gain and low pass controller are located on the front of the enclosure for convenient access. The AB25A has a practical high level input with auto turn-on circuit: if, for example, this input is used to connect OE factory radios with no remote output, the amp module will turn on automatically as soon as a music signal is present.
