2 S&C SpeedNet ME Mesh End-Point Radio Provides communication end point for SCADA devices. Connects to SpeedNet Radio mesh network. High message rates and low latency enable advanced distribution automation. Connectivity for End Nodes A SpeedNet ME Mesh End-Point Radio is well suited for the communication needs of end-node SCADA devices. It is a non-routing radio and does not participate in building the mesh network. It does however, connect to a SpeedNet Radio mesh network that is capable of providing secure, longrange communication with high-message rates. SpeedNet ME Radio is easy to set up and maintain. SpeedNet ME Radio is available with the S&C IntelliTeam CNMS Communication Network Management System. This system enables centralized management of the radio network, with multi-level user access through a browser-based interface. Powerful Multi-Level Security SpeedNet ME Radio provides frequency-hopping spread-spectrum transmission that is inherently difficult to intercept and jam. Its 10-millisecond dwell time on a particular frequency is 60 times faster than other systems, making each transmission a very small target for jamming, and much less susceptible to interference. Address filtering denies network access to unauthorized radios, and 128-bit encryption protects mission-critical data. Exceptional Speed SpeedNet ME Radio can transmit or receive 300 bytes to/from next-hop adjacent neighbors in 30 milliseconds, which is ideal for a DNP 3.0 SCADA data packet size of 300 bytes.
