4 hd Subwoofer-Series High-Performance Subwoofer The hd Sub12, hd Sub15 and hd Sub18 are compact, transportable and powerful vented subwoofers. According to extensive research in designing high-power loudspeaker chassis over the past 30 years, the new designed longexcursion chassis with 3 respectively 4 voice coil, fiberglass double spider and single-role rubber surround enables linear excursion up to ± 15 mm. Dramatically improved cooling of the voice coil through the pole piece and spider allows an extremely high continuous power rating. Improved cooling increases the durability and reliability of the subwoofer. Excellent dynamics and tight impulse response combined with outstanding sound pressure level is the result. Filtering is done by the DSP platform. hd Infra218 Hybrid Subwoofer The hd Infra218 is a high-performance subwoofer using hybrid enclosure design for reproducing extended low frequencies down to 32Hz. The compact dimensions, coupled with exceptional headroom and minimized distortion makes the hd Infra218 a flexible tool for applications of large-scale tours and installations where high directivity control, extremely low-end and high SPL is required. The enclosure is constructed of high-quality birch multi-plywood coated with a durable scratch-, impact- and weatherproofed polyurethane finish. Equipped with two comfortable handles on the sides for easy transport and stacking. A special powder-coated steel grille with acoustic foam on the inside protects the driver. An optimally tuned, vented and hybrid horn loaded cabinet houses two linear, high-excursion 18-inch cone drivers. The Infras218 s 32 Hz to 100 Hz operating frequency range complements other loudspeakers, allowing it to integrate smartly with LineArrays comprised of hd No3. Its cardioid directivity pattern works already with two or three stacked hd Infra218 down to 70 Hz respectively 55 Hz in front radiating mode. The broad range of features points out that most of the criteria s aren t fulfilled with no compromise by DSP amplifiers on the market. So far until the Powersoft KDSP amplifiers appeared. They combine cutting edge digital signal processing, comprehensive control and remote capabilities in a compact and very lightweight appearance plus tremendous power capacity and tonal balance.
