1 GAI-TRONICS A Hubbell Company Call/Talk GAI-Tronics Call/Talk communication systems provide paging and party-line capabilities in a durable, easy-to-operate package. Plant personnel use the paging capability to locate individuals throughout the facility, Further communication then occurs over the party line, allowing two or more people to converse without being heard over the speakers. GAI-Tronics offers two variations of Call/Talk: Single-Party (one party line), or Multi-Party (five party lines for up to five simultaneous two-way conversations). The GAI-Tronics Call/Talk System is a distributed amplifier system. Each indoor, outdoor, or hazardous area wall station contains a speaker amplifier for driving speakers. GAI-Tronics Call/Talk System is completely modular: every station consists of an enclosure, a cover plate, a power supply, and a speaker amplifier module. In addition, Desktop, Desk-Edge, and Flush-Mount stations include a separate subset equipped with a cable to plug into the remote enclosure. All Call/Talk station amplifiers are electrically paralleled; systems may be expanded by extending cable from the nearest amplifier or junction box. A single resistance load is required for each page and party line circuit to establish line impedance and minimize effects of stray induced hum or noise signals. For ease of load adjustment, a GTC line balance assembly should be placed near the electrical center of the system, and near an indoor handset station in a quiet area.

2 HAZARDOUS AREA DIVISION 2 STATIONS All Hazardous Area Division 2 Stations are available in indoor and outdoor design. Indoor Stations are rated NEMA 12; weatherproof stations are housed in a durable fiberglass enclosure, rated NEMA 4. The enclosure is equipped with a highly-durable velcro closure. This feature ensures that the station inside is protected from harsh environments. For areas not requiring a handset station, we offer a speaker amplifier station capable of powering remote speakers. 5 HAZARDOUS AREA DIVISION 1 STATIONS Call/Talk Hazardous Area Division 1 stations are available in indoor and outdoor design and are completely modular. All electronics are contained in a single enclosure for easy installation and simple operation. The enclosures are constructed so that if an explosion occurs within the enclosure, the flame will be cooled before exit, prevented ignition of the surrounding atmosphere. In addition to the enclosures, the handsets are also intrinsically-safe for us in hazardous, Division 1 areas. 6 DESKTOP, DESK-EDGE, AND FLUSH-MOUNT STATIONS Call/Talk stations are available in desktop, flush-mount and desk-edge configurations. With these models, the subset is placed in a convenient location and is connected to the enclosure assembly via a 9-foot cord. The enclosure can be mounted under a desk, or in the ceiling.
