1 CALY LC nm 10 Gbps DFB LC TOSA with Flex Overview Advanced Lab Instruments CALY LC nm 10Gb/s DFB Laser LC-TOSA (Transmitter Optical Sub-Assembly) is designed for 10Gb/s Ethernet Network, Data Communication, Fibre Channel Network and other fiber optic communication network applications. This device integrates high performance Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser diode with InGaAs PD as laser power monitor in TO-can. LD threshold current is very low with high performance over operating temperature. Avoid eye or skin exposure to direct or scattered radiation. 1.2 The modules should be handled in the same manner as ordinary semiconductor devices to prevent the electro-static damages. For safekeeping and carrying, the modules should be packaged with ESD proof material. To assemble the modules on PCB, the workbench, the soldering iron and the human body should be grounded. 1.3 Please pay special attention to the atmosphere condition because the dew on the module may cause some electronic damages. 1.4 Under such a strong vibration environment as in automobile, the performance and reliability are not guaranteed. 1.5 Shorten the length of the modules leads as much as Possible to reduce excess inductance. 1.6 Operation-Conditions beyond Absolute Maximum Ratings as showing in table.1 may cause permanent damage to the device, also affect the Lifetime and Reliability. 1.7 Be sure to turn power off when you touch this product connected to the printed circuit boards. Otherwise, electric shock or burn may occur.
