3 O UR ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROLLERS are based on the principle of phase angle control by means of triacs. They are applicable for the adjustment of single phase voltage controllable asynchronous electric motors to control the speed. Do not hesitate to ask for product modifications. We can fulfill your requirements perfectly. Preventing hum It is common knowledge that triac control can cause a hum in the motor. Here are some tips to prevent this: Consult the motor manufacturer about motor s suitability for electronic triac/thyristor control. Select the motor and the controller as small as possible: the load on the motor must be at least 75% of the nominal power of the motor at maximum speed. Avoid over-dimensioning the controller. Preferably use permanent split capacitor and shaded pole motors, voltage controllable. 4-pole motors have a greater control range than 6- or 8-pole ones. 2-poles are difficult to control at low speeds (below 600rpm) and cause start problems at low voltages. Directly driven motors are preferable to belt-driven ones. Use insulation class F wound motors. Types: 230 VAC, 50 Hz VAC, 50/60 Hz Types: 115 VAC, 60 Hz 168

4 EL electronic fan speed controller These controllers provide hand control of the rotational speed of voltage controllable (230 VAC, 50 Hz) motors by varying the supplied voltage through phase angle control. Suitable for inset as well as for surface mounting, the splash-proved housing allows use in demanding (moist) environments. An orange LED indicates the operation status. Several motors can be connected as long as the current limit is not exceeded. All models have an extra (not regulated) 230 VAC output/input. 20 MFC multifunctional electronic fan speed controller The MFC series automatically control the speed of single phase voltage controllable motors (230 VAC/50 Hz) according the values of multifunctional inputs (Ai1 or Ai2). These inputs can be temperature sensors (PT500) or other sensors with output 0-10 V or 0-20 ma (pressure, CO 2, humidity, light). There is a possibility to connect this device to a BMS (building management system) interface or to use analog voltage (0-10 V) for remote enabling or disabling. The working principle of this controller is based on the so-called zero crossing detection. An optotriac combined with a microprocessor ensures flawless and accurate control. There is a rotary switch to choose the working mode. When the mode is selected, the controller will program the inputs automatically, such as temperature probe or analog inputs. 39 TE2S digital electronic fan speed controller temperature/time These automatic speed controllers are fully digital and control the rotational speed of single phase (230 VAC/50 Hz) voltage controllable motors according to temperature. The working principle of this product series is based on the so-called zero crossing detection. An optotriac combined with a microprocessor ensures flawless and accurate control where motor noises are considerably lower. TE2S controllers can be used in ventilation and in heating applications and provide a great number of user adjustable options. All data is visualized on a liquid-crystal display (LCD), presented by user friendly and intuitive multilingual menus. The parameters can be set through a four-button keypad (supplied with a lock function). There are user and installer priorities set by passwords. The standard temperature setpoint range is from -25 to 65 C. TE2S controllers provide auto and manual operation modes, possibility for calibration and input/output adjusting, additional remote control input (heat/cool - day/night switching), kickstart with programmable time duration, min and max speed limitations, off level with adjustable hysteresis, digital readout, TK protection, internal real-time clock with two level switching (day/night, day/week programmable), outputs for valve (230 VAC), slave/power units (0-10 V/0-20 ma). 76 TVSS5 electronic three phase fan speed controller The TVSS5 automatically controls the speed of three phase (3 x 400 VAC/50 Hz) voltage controllable electric motors with a 0-10 VDC or 0-20 ma control signal. This makes it possible to control these motors automatically with an external PD-controller, remote with a potentiometer or a microprocessor with analog output. There is also a connection for a remote start/stop switch. The working principle of this product series is based on the so-called zero crossing detection. An optotriac combined with a microprocessor ensures flawless and accurate control. There are two working modes, internally selectable by switch. With kickstart the motor will always start or restart at max. speed for 10 seconds, after which it will automatically follow the position set by the 0-10 VDC or 0-20 ma control signal.
