3 Ⅰ. Brief Description FC-703C RF transceiver module follows the EN protocol.the module adopts low-power and wireless SOC Si1000 Series MCU from silicon labs. It has a UART interface for serial communication and configuration. The dimension is 13.7x25.4x3.4mm.FC-703C can work in S, T, R2 and C mode. It works in sleeping mode with super-low consumption power and be wakened up via serial port. By mounting the module onto the user board,it is easy to use through serial port communication protocol. 6 Reset Circuit The reset circuit is shown as below: VCC RS232, RS485, USB TXD RXD VCC RESET 1nF 200Ω Connect to supervisory circuit or MCU I/O-pin Fig.3. Reset Circuit To minimize effect of noise on the Reset-line, the Reset pin on the module must be connected to external circuitry via an RC-network. It is recommended to connect Reset pin to either a supervisory circuit or a microcontroller I/O-pin. Antenna Connection The antenna should be connected to the RF pin which is matched with 50 Ohm impedance. The antenna can be chosen based on customer s needs. We provide technical support on the choice of antenna. Ⅴ. Typical Application Description The FC-703C can be embedded into various base meters such as water, gas and heat meters via UART interface. It can communicate with the remote FC-703C module connected to the gateway, computers or any other meter reading system via UART interface (hardware USB interface).
