4 Definition of Wireless Technology Method of communication that utilizes radio waves through the air (area must be free of obstacles) Operates through LOS (Line-of-Sight) which means the area must be 100% free of objects. It is important to ensure LOS using specialized tools like airlink. It is also of equal importance to have stability on the towers and a maximum of 1dB or 2dB of difference between the RF chains on the link. RF technology shares the air meaning the principal problem will be noise and lack of available frequencies due to saturation; which can make unlicensed bands inconvenient. 14 Co-location GPS-Sync All airfiber products have GPS: 24GHz, with aggregate capacity of up to 20Gbps through EB, which is necessary due to the use of the same frequency on the radios, up to 10 links. AF5-X uses it to attach four radios (using NxN) on one antena link for up to 2Gbps per link. This is possible due to high noise isolation capabilities of the antennas.
