Serengeti Photochromic lenses work by adjusting to changing light conditions so your eyes do not have to. Serengeti Photochromic lenses with Spectral Control darken in bright sunlight, lighten in low light / overcast conditions and filter out the shorter blue light waves that cause atmospheric haze and glare reducing eye fatigue and delivering the ultimate in visual acuity. 4 LENS TECHNOLOGY FOR OPTIMAL VISION AND COMFORT A choice of 4 lens 2 types of lens material DRIVERS The amber-coloured Drivers lens amplifies contrast and definition, revealing vibrant colours and reducing eyestrain in all environments. DRIVERS GOLD Adding to the Drivers lens, the gold mirror finish further reduces eyestrain by reflecting glare, which is particularly helpful in brighter driving conditions. 555nm Intended for bright conditions, this lens manages yellow and green light to relax eyes, and the mirror coating shields against glare. 555nm BLUE We start with our 555nm lens and then add a reflective blue coating that blocks more light, adding to the lenses eye-protecting capabilities. ULTRA-LIGHT MINERAL GLASS A full 20% thinner and lighter, our ultra-light mineral glass lens is the most optically superior option on the market. Crafted from borosilicate optical glass from Corning, the lenses are made from only the finest materials. They are then chemically tempered to ensure scratch and impact resistance, then ground to perfection providing unsurpassed visual acuity. POLAR PHD TRIVEX LENS Each lens is built with NXT technology and made from Trivex material, which is 75% lighter than glass and 10% lighter than polycarbonate. Trivex was adapted from fighter jet canopies and helicopter windshields designed to withstand extreme impact and temperature changes. Hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings help repel water, fingerprints and debris while an antireflective coating absorbs glare to eliminate backside reflections.
