4 The Forefront HighBay series was designed to optimize the advantages of LED technology. 5 Modules Forefront HighBay utilizes 2, 4 or 6 LED optical modules that are available in Aisle, Medium or Wide distributions. The highly engineered one-piece injection molded optical array delivers precise and uniform illumination. The optical system is sealed and carries an IP66 rating to maintain long life and performance. Housing The Forefront s modular family is built on die-cast radial heat sinks to provide uniform heat dissipation. The center die-cast channel isolates electrical components to ensure long operating life. All parts are constructed of low copper aluminum and finished with a 5 stage polyester powder coating process to provide superior protection for long-term durability. Electrical Electrical components are mounted in center section for easy installation and maintenance. Available with optional PixelView occupancy controls for maximum energy-savings capabilities. Mounting The Forefront HighBay is available to mount via a ¾ hub or with hook, cord and plug configurations. Thermal Management The Forefront optical modules are integrated into highly engineered radial heatsinks that extract heat away from the the LED's and internal electrical components. Venting at the front and top of the housing enables cool air to enter the luminaire and flow out through the top of the luminaire to help optimize LED performance and extend system Life. As a result, the Forefront HighBay maintains an L70 performance in excess of 100,000 hours in 25 C ambient environments ensuring a high performing long life system. FOREFRONT 2

6 PRECISION PERFORMANCE The Forefront HighBay is available in three high performance optical distributions to meet today s application requirements. Horizontal Distribution Vertical Distribution 200W Aisle The Aisle module provide narrow but long throw. The optics provides excellent horizontal illumination and uniform vertical illumination. Perfect for warehousing applications 200W Medium The medium module provides even illumination in horizontal and diagonal spacing to allow for maximum spacing. 8 The new benchmark for occupancy control. Blending seamlessly into the luminaire, Lighting Science s PixelView occupancy control system achieves what other indoor occupancy controls systems have not a fully integrated individual luminaire control that provides unparalleled coverage and control capability that dramatically improves performance and safety making all other occupancy sensing technologies obsolete. Typical occupancy controls use Passive Infrared (PIR) technology to detect motion and their ability to recognize occupancy can be severely diminished in hot or cold environments. In high temperature environments a human body can blend in to the background while in cold temperatures, heavy clothing can provide a type of camouflage, limiting how much infrared is radiated from the body. Coupled with PIR s common use of Fresnel type lenses that have the potential to create dead zones in coverage, the failure of the sensor to effectively recognize occupancy can create a potentially unsafe environment for occupants. Typical PIR Coverage Zone Dead Zones PIR sensors can suffer with poor zone coverage. Forefront s PixelView Occupancy Control system utilizes image sensing and video processing to accurately detect and characterize motion. Unlike PIR technology, PixelView is not affected by ambient conditions and detects movement of any object within its field of view to accurately trigger the luminaire to smoothly move into full brightness. 9 W Light/Wattage Output Adjustability Full On light output can be reduced by up to 50% while Steady State Dimmed output can be reduced to as little as 10% offering the opportunity to dramatically increase savings. Preset Event Settings When energized nightly the luminaire will immediately move to full brightness for a fixed time duration of 1 8 hours and then shift smoothly to its dimmed steady state until motion is detected. PixelView controls have no dead spots in coverage zones creating a safer environment for workers where sensors are used Requiring no costly secondary wiring of sensors outside of the luminaire or remote software monitoring to install and commission, PixelView comes factory installed with the luminaire in standard offerings that will dim the luminaire to either 30% or 50% of the luminaire s wattage in an unoccupied setting. The Forefront s PixelView control system provides an exceptional 360 degree coverage zone of 4L X 3W mounting heights in applications up to 40. Time Delay Settings Once motion is detected, the luminaire s Full On state time can be adjusted in 5 minute increments up to 30 minutes. FOREFRONT AREA 2 Bar Code Customization Offering a wide range of preset or customizable configurations available at PixelView will allow users to select their own settings via a web interface that provides a two dimensional barcode that when placed underneath the camera s viewing lens, immediately changes the luminaire s control configuration to the user s preference and allows seamless and quick replication across an installation.
