2 You can edit images taken with a camera f even lovelier prints the button of any menu you wish Crop & Rotate The ability to crop images down to an essential ption and to rotate them gives you the freedom to decide an image's composition You can reduce the red eye effect resulting from flash photography Red Eye Reduction To undo a crection, Use and to position the frame displayed in the preview screen around the red eye Perfm red eye reduction on one eye at a time Verify the results of the crection on the preview screen When finished making crections, If cropping rotation is perfmed after red eye reduction, the crections f red eye are canceled Make sure to perfm red eye reduction after cropping rotation Sepia / Black&White Cropping an Image Use You can process your prints in sepia black and white to give them the look of old photographs to zoom in out Then, move the cropping area with Changes to sepia image Changes to black and white image After selecting an option, Rotating an Image Each time you, the image rotates 0 degrees clockwise until the image is iented as you wish Col Adjustment You can change an image's col settings, adjusting the brightness, tint, saturation, and sharpness as you wish Undoes your edits and resets to the iginal image Select the item you want to adjust, and to change the col value To ensure the desired col adjustment, verify results in the preview screen while making adjustments When finished editing, Closes the edit menu and returns to the iginal screen When finished adjusting,

4 Replacing the Ribbon Cartridge and Paper Roll F Ste Clerks Replacing the Ribbon Cartridge Open the side do Remove the ribbon cartridge Insert the new ribbon cartridge Close the side do Maintenance Guide F Ste Clerks Precautions Replacing the Paper Roll zimmediately after printing, the thermal head inside the unit will be hot When loading a cartridge, do not insert your hand into the ribbon cartridge access opening, to prevent the risk of burns zalways use a designated print pack Open the front do Press the paper holder r e l e a s e b u t t o n, a n d remove the paper holder Open the paper holder completely by pressing the button at the top Remove the paper roll from the paper holder Pull the paper ce out of the old paper roll zbe sure to replace both the ribbon cartridge and the paper roll as a set zdo not the printing surface of the paper roll the ink on the ribbon cartridge Fingerprints and other pollutants can lead to reduced print quality Clear out any paper scraps that have built up in the paper holder Insert the paper ce into Insert the paper roll into the Close the paper holder Insert the paper holder into 0 the new paper roll paper holder with the arrow on the label pointing inward, and then remove the label the printer Close the front do Make sure to fully remove all labels from * the paper roll
5 Troubleshooting Symptom Cause/ Remedy Image data cannot be read A mounted memy card does not contain any data tinsert a memy card that contains image data Data has been recded on a memy card in a fmat that the unit does not recognize t Be sure to ste image data in a fmat that the unit can recognize The memy card may not be properly inserted tmake sure that the memy card is fully inserted The memy card may not be inserted in the crect direction tset the memy card in the direction shown on the operation screen Display not on difficult to see Depending on the display angle, the display may not be visible may be difficult to see tthe display angle can be adjusted Adjust the angle of the display to improve the display appearance There is a white margin on the printed image The print position may not be crect tadjust the print position on the administration screen Paper roll was loaded, but no paper message appears Paper roll may not have been loaded crectly tensure that paper roll is loaded crectly Ribbon cartridge was loaded, but no ribbon cartridge message appears Ribbon cartridge may not have been loaded crectly tensure that ribbon cartridge is loaded crectly Out of paper message appears, but there is still paper in the unit This is not a defect Some spare paper will be left over tremove the leftover paper and load a new ribbon cartridge and paper roll Power does not switch on The power cd may not be connected tmake sure that the power cd is connected The on/standby button may not have been pressed crectly tmake sure that the on/standby button has been fully depressed The unit does not switch to standby The unit may still be doing processing twait a few moments f the unit to stop processing An abnmal condition may have caused the unit to stop responding tdisconnect the power cd from the power outletthen reconnect the power cd, and press the on/standby button Cannot load paper roll Are you trying to load UPC-C, C while adapts are mounted in the paper holder? tremove the adapts and then load the paper roll
