At the same time, its special refl ector technology in a hexagonal design makes it suitable for computer screen workplaces. Highly specular, honeycomb-shaped darklight refl ectors surround each individual LED. These ensure highly effi cient light distribution with minimized glare effects for comfortable viewing. The DALI variants allow a combination with external light management systems and open up additional energy saving potential. The special lighting technology achieves uniform illumination without hard shadows. All versions of the ARKTIKA -P LED are pendant luminaires with a pendant kit and separate control gear in a plastic housing. 8 NO. 01 MAY 2014 Exhibition hall FAST FORWARD FOR FLEXIBLE LIGHT AUDI USED CARS :PLUS CENTER The familiar Audi slogan of Vorsprung durch Technik applies 100 % for the overall lighting of the Audi used car center. Exclusively LED-based lighting solutions are used in the most diverse areas of application on the 45,000 square meter area in Eching near Munich. In this way, OSRAM together with its Siteco brand achieves cutting-edge LED lighting, which can be fl exibly controlled, has extremely low maintenance, and combined with high energy effi ciency allows for considerable cost savings. 8

With their narrow light distribution and 5,300 Kelvin color temperature, they refl ect on the ceiling for uniform illumination of the room. Their diffuse indirect component is essential for the vehicle s shape recognition. Details are presented by the direct light of the LED downlights Lunis SL, which can be rotated and tilted to correspond to the exhibits. In the area of vehicle delivery, light fi elds with Rentex clamping fi lm are integrated in the ceiling, with the LED modules DRAGONchain tunable white from OSRAM hidden behind them. A DALI touch panel can be used to individually change the color temperature of the light fi elds to values ranging from 2,700 to 6,500 Kelvin to emphasize the particular car color. Reception area, shop and adjoining rooms are equipped with Lunis 2 micro and mini LED downlights, while Novaluna LED luminaires provide classic offi ce lighting which is also suitable for computer screen workplaces. MODARIO lighting strips with IP20 LED modules are installed in the workshop area. The exhibition hall Modario lighting strips were also installed here to effi ciently illuminate the 17,000 m 2 exhibition hall. A total of twenty 150-meter units were used, each having 30 symmetrical wide-angle IP20 LED modules. Thanks to the system being easy to install with twist-lock catches, the installation of the 600 inserts took only two days. Due to the integrated DALI interface, this system can also be controlled as needed and in accordance with the fl ow of visitors. The outdoor area The typical Audi light masts were equipped with LED technology for the fi rst time in Eching. With a mast height of 7.5 meters, they provide general illumination, and with a height of 6 meters, illuminate outdoor used cars very concretely. Siteco Streetlight 10 LED road luminaires ensure safe travel and good visibility on the driveways and in the parking lots.
