The aim of this salon is to specialize in exhibiting images not previously exhibited in any Australian International Salon. PREMIER images are defined as images which have never been accepted for exhibition in any other Australian International Photographic Salons. DEFINITION Australian International Photographic Salons, as applies to this rule in regards to PREMIER images, are those Salons with Patronage or Approval from any of the following organizations: INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ART, PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF AMERICA, ROYAL PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY, GLOBAL PHOTOGRAPHIC UNION, IMAGE COLLEAGUE SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL, INTERNATIONAL UNION OF PHOTOGRAPHERS, AUSTRALIAN PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY. An image is exempt from this rule if it's only Australian acceptance is achieved shortly prior to the closing date of the Sydney Harbour International. To be eligible for entry under this exemption, the image's only Australian acceptance must have been judged by the other salon after the 1st APRIL. ENTRY FEES 1 Section AUD $15 2 Sections AUD $22 3 Sections AUD $29 4/5 Sections AUD $36 The only payment method is via the entry process on the website which will have provision for online payment using PayPal, using either your own PayPal account or by using a current credit or debit card. There is no need to have a Paypal account to use this service. The Organizers regret that entries for which no or only partial fee is received, will not be judged. SECTIONS: Each entrant may submit a maximum of four (4) images in each of the following four sections: COLOR Open MONOCHROME Open CREATIVE NATURE NATURE WILDLIFE In the CREATIVE, NATURE and NATURE WILDLIFE sections, the images can be COLOR or MONOCHROME. ENTRY The only entry submission method is via the online entry form linked from our web site, After you submit your entry, you will receive a confirmation with your name, address, image thumbnails and the image titles. Please review this carefully and if you made any errors or wish to make any changes (including adding or removing entries), you can access your details again via the online link on our web site. You may correct or update details until entries close for the salon. The entries are processed periodically and the status report is updated at that time.

You acknowledge and accept that entering this exhibition means that the status and results of your entry may be made public. I am particularly aware of chapter II "Regulations for International photographic events under patronage" of document 018/2017, dealing under Section II.2 and II.3 with the participation rules, the sanctions for breaching regulations and the red list. PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF AMERICA NOTICE: When an entrant goes into the upload page to submit an entry the entrant will see a tick box (which must be ticked), to affirm that they have read these "CONDITIONS OF ENTRY" when they fill out the entry form. If the entrant does not so affirm the entry will not be submitted. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Sydney Harbour International is open to all photographers, amateur and professional, worldwide. An entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the Salon rules and conditions. An entrant s images will not be presented to the judges consecutively. An entrant s four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging in that section. Distribution of images shall be in the same round order as submitted by the entrant. Entries must originate as photographs (imagecaptures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own (aliases are not permitted). The entrant permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the Salon. This may include low resolution posting on a website. Note: Entrants who indicate that their images may not be reproduced or used will not be eligible for awards or inclusion in audiovisuals of the Salon and could be subject to disqualification by the Salon sponsors. The Salon assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. All final work must be on electronic file. No title or identification of the maker shall be visible anywhere in the image. Each image must have a unique title. Multiple images which are substantially similar may not be entered into one or multiple sections in any one

Images that have previously gained acceptance in the Sydney Harbour International or the Sydney International Exhibition of Photography, or work almost identical in style and subject matter is not eligible for resubmission. IMAGE TITLES: must use letters and numbers from the English alphabet but no other characters, with a limitation of 35 characters including spaces. The title must be as you would wish it to appear in the catalog therefore no other information, special characters or separators should be included in the file name. RETITLING: In all Recognized exhibitions sanctions for retitling will be imposed for instances where a previously accepted image or print has been given a different title and/or where a Color version and a Monochrome version and/or a Print version and a Projected Digital Image version of the same image have been given different titles. Once an image has been accepted in a PSA Recognized exhibition, that same image, or a like in camera or a reproduction duplicate of that image. 1. May not be entered or reentered in any section of the same Division Star Ratings class in that exhibition regardless of media, format, or title. 2. May not be retitled for entry in any other PSA Recognized exhibition, including translation into another language. 3. Images meeting the Monochrome Definition and nonmanipulated color images from the same capture shall be considered the same image and must be given the same title. 4. PSA members working on Galaxy and Diamond Star Ratings shall be allowed to continue using different titles of monochrome versions and color versions of the same capture that have already been accepted until the required number of acceptances for those titles have been completed. IMAGE ALTERATION: Except for the restrictions on Nature images described in the Nature definition, images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the entrant. Images may not be constructed entirely with a computer and all photographic components must have been photographed by the entrant who holds copyright of the complete works submitted. IMAGE FORMAT This Salon accepts electronic images only. All entries are to be: 1. All images are to be submitted in JPEG format in the correct orientation. 2. Maximum 2MB file size. 3. Maximum 1400 pixels horizontally, 1050 pixels vertically. Note that portrait orientation images must still meet the 1050 pixel height limit. Images which exceed any of these maximums will be blocked during the online entry process. Smaller images may be submitted and will appear smaller when projected for judging. Please check all image sizes before submission, images with sizes greater than detailed above will be REJECTED. BORDERS: Please do not add any unnecessary borders to your images, as black borders serve no purpose for digital projection, while white borders are distracting. If you want a border on your images then the maximum width should be under 5 pixels. Entrants MUST use only the Western/Latin alphabet when submitting an entry. COLOR SPACE: The judging and display software operates in and assumes that the images are in srgb color space. Images will be displayed on a Canon SX80 projector using the srgb color space. The projector only displays colors which are visible in srgb. If you use a larger color space (such as Adobe 1998 or ProPhoto), the colors will be reduced to fit the srgb color space. This means your image may not display the way you intended; it may lose color or detail or both. To ensure that we see what you want us to see, make a copy of your image, convert the color space in the copy to srgb, save it and send us the srgb copy. We will not convert the image for you.

5 Conditions of Entry 5 von , 09:16 NOTIFICATIONS Notifications of results will be sent by . Entrants should ensure that they provide an active address. Notifications will NOT be sent by post. Notification of results will show the name Sydney Harbour International and year of the Salon and the section involved. The Sydney Harbour International utilizes a numerical scoring system, on the report it states the minimum and maximum scores possible, the acceptance score, the score each entry received and also states if the image has gained any award. CATALOG All entrants will receive a catalog produced as an electronic file "PDF" and also a "Flipping Book" file on a USB (flash drive / jump drive) or on CD/DVD. Accepted entries will be eligible for the following Photographic Honors: Distinctions A, E, E/b, E/s, E/g, E/p: E/d1, E/d2, E/d3: PSA Honors Valid acceptances received by PSA members in recognized sections of this Salon are eligible for PSA Star Ratings and credit towards the PSA Distinctions of PPSA, EPSA, MPSA, GMPSA, GMPSA/b, GMPSA/s, GMPSA/g and GMPSA/p APS Honors exhibition system for YLAPS, LAPS, AAPS, FAPS, MAPS, GMAPS, APSEM: International Union of Photographers All acceptances will count for "IUP Honor List" and "IUP Distinctions". INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ART () DOCUMENT 017/2017 E DOCUMENT 018/2017 E On the upload page you will be directed to a page with a tick box (which must be ticked), which you are stating I hereby expressly agree to document 018/2017 «Conditions and regulations for Patronage» and document 017/2017 «Sanctions for breaching regulations and the red list». I am particularly aware of chapter II «Regulations for International photographic events under patronage» of document 018/2017, dealing under Section II.2 and II.3 with the participation rules, the sanctions for breaching regulations and the red list. II.2 PARTICIPATION Each entrant to salons must observe the rules of and conform to the regulations of the present document and document 017/2017. Any author, whose image shows any suspicions about the compliance with regulations or definitions, can be requested by the organizer or by, to submit the original capture file (file containing the data recorded by the sensor; ie: the RAW or the original unretouched JPEG files) plus the file of the images immediately before and immediately following the questionable image. If he/she fails to provide what is required, he/she can be sanctioned. The names of sanctioned entrants will be put on a list, which will be sent to the organizers of salons. Their participation in any event of will be restricted or banned depending on the case. In addition they cannot be appointed as judges of salons, in a salon under patronage, organize a salon with patronage, nor apply for distinctions and they lose the right to use any distinctions they have formerly received. IMPORTANT: Concerning digital entries, authors must preserve intact with no alteration, the original metadata of images. In case of dispute relating to compliance with regulations, the fact of not being able to access this important data could result in the author being sanctioned. Any person who is found guilty of using photographic material that was not captured in camera by that person will be excluded for life from activities. Salon chairmen, persons closely involved in the organization of the salon and persons in charge of the handling of the salon software are not allowed to participate in the salon. II.3 SANCTIONS Each entrant to salons acknowledges that he will incur sanctions in case of breaching regulations. Refer to the document 017/2017. II.5 SUBJECT MATTER, CATEGORIES AND SECTIONS

7 Conditions of Entry 7 von , 09:16 A monochrome image and a color image from the same capture are considered the same image and must have the same title. II.8 SALON REGULATIONS AND ENTRYFORM E) The mention that all parts of the image have to be photographed by the author who is holding the copyright of all works submitted. F) The mention that by the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection the following terms: that the submitted images can be investigated by to establish if these obey to regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of, that will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking, that any refusal to cooperate with or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by, that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. As mentioned in II.2) it is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations. N) Include the mention that in the general interest of the event, the reproduction of the entered works is allowed in the printed or digital catalog, except when expressly prohibited by the author. In this matter the rules about copyright have to be strictly followed. Under no circumstances is the organizer allowed to use the entered works for other purposes. PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF AMERICA Specific rules from the Consolidated Exhibition Standards. All entrants in PSA Recognized Exhibitions must provide name and country data exactly the same in each exhibition entered to receive proper credit. TITLES Each image must have a unique title. Once an image has been accepted in a PSA Recognized exhibition, that same image, or a like in camera or a reproduction duplicate of that image: 1. May not be entered or reentered in any section of the same Division Star Ratings class in that exhibition regardless of media, format, or title. 2. May not be retitled for entry in any other PSA Recognized exhibition, including translation into another language. 3. Images meeting the Monochrome Definition and nonmanipulated color images from the same capture shall be considered the same image and must be given the same title. 4. PSA members working on Galaxy and Diamond Star Ratings shall be allowed to continue using different titles of monochrome versions and color versions of the same capture that have already been accepted until the required number of acceptances for those titles have been completed. Words such as Untitled and No Title are not acceptable as part or all of an image s title, nor are camera capture filenames. An image may be entered in only one section where acceptances of that image in multiple sections would be eligible for the same star path. STAR RATINGS: and for inclusion in the annual PSA "Who's Who" of photography;

8 Conditions of Entry 8 von , 09:16 COLOR Open Acceptances shall be credited towards PID Color Star Ratings and "Who's Who" Color listings. MONOCHROME Acceptances shall be credited towards PID Monochrome Star Ratings and "Who's Who" Monochrome listings. CREATIVE Acceptances from this section shall only be credited towards PID Color Star Ratings. All acceptance eligibility shall be in accordance with the PID Star Ratings or the Galaxy/Diamond Ratings requirements as appropriate. BREACH OF CONDITIONS OF ENTRY If the exhibition determines before, during, or after the judging that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry, including the stated definitions, the exhibition reserves the right and discretion to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all acceptances or awards. Fees may be forfeited in these circumstances. In order to ensure that images comply with the Conditions of Entry and definitions, the exhibition may carry out checks on the images to make sure that: a) the images are the original work of the entrant and b) the images comply with the rules and definitions as set out in these Conditions of Entry. This may involve asking the entrant to provide originally captured image(s), with EXIF data intact, by a set deadline. The questioned image(s) of any entrant failing to comply with such a request for the original image(s) may be considered in breach of these Conditions of Entry, and declined. Such entries may be referred to PSA for further investigation of possible ethics violations. PSA retains the right to investigate in any way all complaints/suspicions of breaches of entry conditions, impose sanctions if deemed necessary, include the entrant s name on the list of sanctions provided to Exhibitions, and share such investigations with. Entrants automatically agree to these terms by the act of entering the Exhibition. NATURE SECTION A strong recommendation is that Nature images should have a descriptive title that properly identifies the subject, with a limitation of 35 characters including spaces. Your entry in the Nature section will not be eligible for the Wildlife medal, unless you certify them as authentic by entering a "W" in the space provided when you are uploading your images. If there is any question raised about the authenticity of an entry in the Nature section then the organizers reserve the right to request a copy of the RAW file or the original file direct from camera if shooting in JPEG. DEFINITIONS All entries shall conform to the stricter of these definitions for acceptances to be validated by all the International Organizations granting recognition or patronage. CREATIVE: The Creative section allows the photographer freedom to explore the possibilities of photographic art through the extensive manipulation of images and the combination of images, but the photographic content must predominate. An entrant may alter images either digitally or otherwise, the inclusion of stock images is not permitted and the photographic content should predominate. Additional content or layers must be the original work of the entrant. Images created totally electronically (with no photographic origin) are specifically excluded. Black and White, Split Toning, Monochrome and Color images are acceptable. CREATIVE: SPECIAL AWARD Conceptualization: this is to award an image for the Best Concept covering Technique and Artistry.

9 Conditions of Entry 9 von , 09:16 MONOCHROME: A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey. A black and white work toned entirely in a single color will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalog. On the other hand a black and white work modified by partial toning or by the addition of one color becomes a color work (polychrome) to stand in the color category; such a work requires color reproduction in the catalog. PSA MONOCHROME: An image is considered to be Monochrome only if it gives the impression of having no color (i.e. contains only shades of gray which can include pure black and pure white) OR it gives the impression of being a greyscale image that has been toned in one color across the entire image. (For example by Sepia, red, gold, etc.) A greyscale or multicolored image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multitoning or by the inclusion of spot coloring does not meet the definition of monochrome and shall be classified as a Color Work. NATURE: definition Nature photography is restricted to the use of the photographic process to depict all branches of natural history, except anthropology and archaeology, in such a fashion that a wellinformed person will be able to identify the subject material and certify its honest presentation. The story telling value of a photograph must be weighed more than the pictorial quality while maintaining high technical quality. Human elements shall not be present, except where those human elements are integral parts of the nature story such as nature subjects, like barn owls or storks, adapted to an environment modified by humans, or where those human elements are in situations depicting natural forces, like hurricanes or tidal waves. Scientific bands, scientific tags or radio collars on wild animals are permissible. Photographs of human created hybrid plants, cultivated plants, feral animals, domestic animals, or mounted specimens are ineligible, as is any form of manipulation that alters the truth of the photographic statement. No techniques that add, relocate, replace, or remove pictorial elements except by cropping are permitted. Techniques that enhance the presentation of the photograph without changing the nature story or the pictorial content, or without altering the content of the original scene, are permitted including HDR, focus stacking and dodging/burning. Techniques that remove elements added by the camera, such as dust spots, digital noise, and film scratches, are allowed. Stitched images are not permitted. All allowed adjustments must appear natural. Color images can be converted to greyscale monochrome. Infrared images, either directcaptures or derivations, are not allowed. Images used in Nature Photography competitions may be divided in two classes: Nature and Wildlife. Images entered in Nature sections meeting the Nature Photography Definition above can have landscapes, geologic formations, weather phenomena, and extant organisms as the primary subject matter. This includes images taken with the subjects in controlled conditions, such as zoos, game farms, botanical gardens, aquariums and any enclosure where the subjects are totally dependent on man for food. Images entered in WILDLIFE section meeting the Nature Photography Definition above are further defined as one or more extant zoological or botanical organisms free and unrestrained in a natural or adopted habitat. Landscapes, geologic formations, photographs of zoo or game farm animals, or of any extant zoological or botanical species taken under controlled conditions are not eligible in Wildlife sections. Wildlife is not limited to animals, birds and insects. Marine subjects and botanical subjects (including fungi and algae) taken in the wild are suitable wildlife subjects, as are carcasses of extant species. Wildlife images may be entered in Nature sections of Exhibitions. AGREEMENT: Submission of an entry signifies acceptance of these conditions.
