50 TIPS from ISOMAT that will transform your living space! In order to choose the primary color for your room, you should take into consideration the color of the flooring, the window frames, the color of the furniture and the curtains. The color that you will choose must be able to be combined with all the elements inside the room. When we want to paint rooms that lack in natural lighting, meaning north or west-facing rooms or basements, the secret is to use a color with medium intensity, but with high reflection. In these types of spaces it is better to use only one color for all walls and avoid duotones. Bedrooms are meant for relaxation and calmness. When choosing the right color to paint them, it is better to avoid intense tones and go either for very light shades or for deep atmospheric colors. If you want to create the illusion of height within a room, you better use darker shades on the walls and pale colors on the ceiling. Paint an intense or deep dark color the wall behind the main piece of furniture of your room or behind a heavy decorative accessory, such as the headboard, the sofa, a drawer or a mirror. In order to better highlight a wall painted in a dark color, you can install two sconces that diffuse light upwards and downwards.
