Chain 3. Join the chain with a slip stitch to make a ring. Step 2 Chain 1, make 6 sc into the ring, then join with a slip stitch in first sc you ll have 6 sc. 3 Iris Step 3 Join B with a slip stitch anywhere along outside edge of pupil. Chain 1, make 2 sc into the same sc (where you just made the slip stitch), make 2 sc in each sc around the pupil, join with a slip stitch in first sc you ll have 12 sc. Step 4 Chain 1, *make 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from * around, join with a slip stitch in first sc you ll have 18 sc. Step 5 Chain 1, *make 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from * around, join with a slip stitch in first sc you ll have 24 sc. Step 6 Join C with a slip stitch anywhere along outside edge of iris. Chain 1, *make 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 3 sc; repeat from * around, join with a slip stitch in first sc you ll have 30 sc.

4 White of the Eye Step 7 Join D with a slip stitch in anywhere on the stitches of Step 6. Chain 1, make 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Step 8 Chain 1, turn, skip the first sc, make 1 sc in each of the next 5 white sc 5 sc. Step 9 Chain 1, turn, skip the first sc, make 1 sc in each of the next 3 sc 3 sc. Step 10 Chain 1, turn, skip the first sc, make 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc 2 sc.

5 join here Step 11 Chain 1, turn, skip the first sc, make 1 sc in the next sc 1 sc. To work the opposite side of the white of the Eye, join D with a slip stich on the opposite side of the iris. Chain 1, make 1 sc in each of next 7 sc. Step 12 Repeat Steps Do not fasten off D. start here work in this direction Step 13 With D, chain 1, turn, work sc stitches evenly spaced around outside edge of the Eye, then join with a slip stitch in first sc.

6 Eyeliner and Lashes Step 14 Join A with a slip stitch in one corner of Eye. Chain 1, then sc in each of the stitches of Step 13 to opposite corner of Eye working 2 sc in one sc if needed to keep your piece flat. This is the outline of the lower edge of the Eye. join here work in this direction When you create the outline along the top edge of the Eye, you ll also be making lashes. London made 7 eyelashes but you can make as many as you like! Step 15 Sc into the stitches of Step 13 along the top edge of Eye, stopping at each point where you d like to add a lash. For each lash, chain 5 or 6, then sc in the second chain from the hook and in each of the chains, working back down to the top edge of the Eye. start here work in this direction Continue making sc stitches along the top edge, adding more lashes as you go, then join with a slip stitch in the first sc.
