1 International Polymer Services, LLC 80 Beach Point Drive Riverside, RI Tel: (1 401) ; Fax: (1 401) International Polymer Services, LLC has polymers made to our specifications with a manufacturer in the U.S. with three (3) polymer plants, Texas; Pennsylvania and Toronto, Canada They also do consulting in TEXTILES and PAPER CHEMICALS all over the world. Currently they are providing technology on with two companies in the U.S. and in the past they have worked with companies in Pakistan, Mexico, China & Taiwan, on finishing and coating International Polymer Services, LLC a major U.S. supplier of specialty textile chemicals for the nonwoven industry. They offer flame retardants that are used to produce flame retardant fabrics. We can provide flame retardants to meet: 1) UL; NFPA; FAA; MVSS and other standard flame retardancy test 2) They all comply to RoHS and OSHA standard (non-formaldehyde; halogen free; and non-hazardous 3) They are non-corrosive to metals
2 4) All can be applied by pad, spray or coating and some can be applied by exhaust. We provide: PYROBAND LP BASE and CFR: FLAME RETARDANTS FOR Polyester and Cotton fabrics and leather and all fiber types. Dilutions of PYROBAND LP BASE are compatible with most water repellents, binders, buffers and softeners used in leather and textile finishing. PYROBAND LP BASE for dry clean durable fabrics(ie: Wool and woolen blend Serge for Stage/Theatrical Drapes; wool & woolen blend military and band uniforms). It can be used on all fiber types and blends as well as leather. The only drawback is it is not durable to home laundering, only dry cleaning. Recommended for M1 Test and meets BS:5866. It is a GOTS & OKEO-TEX APPROVED PRODUCT. We also offer POTASSIUM HEXA FLUORO TITAN ATE as a FLAME RETARDANTS FOR WOOL. For 100% Cotton Canvas: 1. Use PYROBAND CFR or PYROBAND PC-614 to flame retard the fabric and provide antistatic properties. 2. Use OMBROSTAT C-550 in his flame retardant finish system 3. The use of OMBROGUARD 294 CONC will add antistatic properties while providing excellent water repellency. For 100% Cotton Canvas, Polyester/cotton canvas Flame retardant + water repellent: we recommend : PYROBAND CFR is a durable, concentrated, halogen free, organic based flame retardant for cotton fabrics. Excellent flame retardancy. Durable to repeated launderings and dry cleanings. Soft hand with excellent fabric strength. Compatible with fluorocarbons. Durable to repeated launderings and dry cleanings Meets BBS 5852; California Title # 19, MVSS#302; NFPA-701 It is ideal for canvas, 100% cotton Work wear, for leather and all fiber types, can also be used for your tent fabrics, although a simpler finish system can be used. We recommend the PYROBAND LP-BASE for the flame retardant and the OMBROGUARD WRF-442 as the water repellent for cotton canvas fabrics. OMBROGUARD WRF-442 a highly effective, concentrated fluoropolymer based water repellent, a very durable PFOA/PFOS free high solid, compounded, low cost
3 fluoropolymer based water & oil repellent designed for nonwovens and woven fabrics of polyester, nylon, cotton and blends, cotton & synthetic fabrics. It finds uses in tents, awnings, indoor & outdoor upholstery fabrics, marine textiles and apparel.. It is durable to multiple launderings and dry cleanings. It is an ECO-FRIENDLY, GOTS or OKOTEX CERTIFIED product PYROBAND N-970 and PYROBAND LP satisfy MVSS # 302 for automotive requirements. PYROBAND N-970 is a durable concentrated, halogen free, organic based flame retardant for Nylon & wool and silk Passes DOCFF-3-71; California Registration No. C-08705; MVSS#302; NFPA-701 and durable to repeated launderings and dry cleanings i.e. for application requiring durability to laundering PYROBAND P-300 is an organo-phosphonate polymer it contains ~22% Phosphorus it demonstrates minimum to no leaching after curing it is ~100% active Use levels are very low ( % owf) meets all FR specifications when applied and cured at recommended levels PYROBAND P-300 is a durable, concentrated, halogen free, organo-phosphonate based flame retardant for polyester fibers, Suitable for BCF and staple fibers. It is an excellent polymer additive. It can be added to the quench bath or at the crimper in their process. Add-on levels ~3.0% on weight of fiber It has been used by several fiber and yarn manufacturers. It takes between % PYROBAND P-300 on weight of fiber to render it noncombustible, depending upon denier Since the PYROBAND is used in small amounts, it has very little effects to physical properties of the fiber. Since PYROBAND is a very viscous liquid, it will have a slight plasticizing effect. If applied as a top-coat or a spin finish. It does have lubricity properties. Another positive effect is the antistatic properties gained by using PYROBAND. The best way is to spray the chip and mix in a ribbon mixer or tumbler before melting. The maximum processing temperature is 360 C. OMBROGUARD LTC-100 :Fluoropolymer based WATER & OIL REPELLENT designed for all fiber types, 100% Kevlar fabrics, polypropylene, nylon, polyester, cotton, silks and blended fabrics or garments, technical Textiles (IE: Kevlar; Nomex; other
4 Aramids, ballistic nylon, bullet proof jackets etc.) meet V50 requirements. It contains ~68% water and 32% polymer solids. ANTIFOGGING CHEMICALS FOR 100% Non-woven Polyester Fabric, Nylon and elastics used in woven and nonwoven automotive fabrics meets Ford s Antifogging test. Normally antifogging properties are designed into finishes applied to polyester that will be used in automotive fabrics. An example is spin finishes. If you are buying yarn to produce fabrics, the spin finish should be antifogging. If not, the yarn or fabric produced from this yarn will need to be scoured to remove the volatiles that cause fogging. OMBRO REZ MR-907: A self-cross linking acrylic resin emulsion that has very good water resistances that doesn t reduce water repellency MODIFIED ACRYLIC COPOLYMER: We have two (2) very good modified acrylics that have excellent performance with very competitive pricing.
