CPAFFC is a national people s organization engaged in people-to-people diplomacy of the Government of People s Republic of China.

The CPAFFC, as an organization in general consultative status with the U.N.

The CPAFFC is entrusted by the Chinese government, to coordinate and oversee the work of establishing and developing friendship-city relations between China and other countries.

Up to now, 2191 pairs of friendship cities or provinces were established between China and other 133 countries.

3 CPAFFC is a national people s organization engaged in people-to-people diplomacy of the Government of People s Republic of China. The aims of the Association are to enhance people s friendship, further international cooperation, safeguard world peace and promote common development. The CPAFFC, as an organization in general consultative status with the U.N. Economic and Social Council and has established relationship of friendly cooperation with nearly 500 nongovernment organizations and institutions in 157 countries. The CPAFFC is entrusted by the Chinese government, to coordinate and oversee the work of establishing and developing friendship-city relations between China and other countries. In 1992, with the establishment of China International Friendship Cities Association, work related to friendship-city relations has further developed. Up to now, 2191 pairs of friendship cities or provinces were established between China and other 133 countries. The CPAFFC has established 46 China-regional or China-national friendship organizations to better carry out friendship activities with these countries or regions, including the China India Friendship Association (CIFA). CPAFFC had hosted reception dinner in Beijing for His Excellency President of India during his state visit to China. Mrs. Li Xiaolin, President of CPAFFC welcomed His Excellency The President. She advocates the theory that the state relations rely on the people s friendship & The understanding and friendship between peoples are the foundation of countries' relationship.
