1 E-News 65 [September 12-16, 2016] F.T.I. joined the big rally for the Anti-Corruption day having Mr. Chen Namchaisiri, F.T.I. Chairman leading the F.T.I. segment together with top executives. The event was organized by Thailand s Anti-Corruption Agency under the theme Punishment for the Corruptives on 11 September 2016 at the Sanam Luang, the Activity Ground. General Prayuth Chan-O-cha, the Prime Minister gave a keynote address entitled, Concrete Measures to Manage Thailand s Corruptions. Other speeches

2 were from General Paibul Khoomchaya, the Minister of Justice who spoke on suppressing corruptions, and from General Anupong Paochinda, the Minister of the Interior who touched upon the campaign over all Thais on anti-corrupions and Mr. Pramon Suthiwong, the Chairman of the Board for Anti-Corruption who mentioned the achievements of anti-corruption campaigns in the private sector. The event was concluded by switching on the light beams chasing away all corruptive practices from Thailand which symbolized a bright future for Thailand which progresses in the future without corruption. 2

4 4 On 13 September 2016 Mr. Pairat Uachuyot, F.T.I. Vice Chairman and the Chairman of CSR Affairs chaired the opening of the 7th Year F.T.I. Library Project together with several vice chairmen, directors of F.T.I. Board and those of the Uthaithani Provincial Chapter. The sponsors of the projects were also on hand to witness the opening. Delivery included donated books, reading skill materials, sports equipment, bicycles and scholarships. All were donated to Banrai Kindergarten and Ban Khao Wong School in Banrai and Lansak respectively which are the 46 th and 47 th schools to receive the donation in the project to boost the local wisdom. The project appreciated the support of cakes and milk supplied by Uthaithani Provincial Chapter.

Mr. Chen Namchaisiri, F.T.I. Chairman gave warm welcome to MS. Yvonne Chin, the Commercial Counsellor of Canada who paid courtesy visit on commencing her duty in Thailand together with Mr. Ekasit Julkittipan, the Canadian Trade Commissioner having Mr. Decha Kositthanakon, the F.T.I. Vice Chairman on Trade & Investment Affairs and Business Councils and Mr. Songpol Bampensanti of the TIA share the welcome event. The two parties exchanged views on future co-operation and dined with H.E. the Canadian Ambassador who has started his new post in Thailand.

6 6 เ ก In เ ญ ผ ป ใ ท Mr. Chen Namchaisiri, the F.T.I. Chairman and Mr. Migues Lopera, the CEO of GS1 chaired the Opening of the Seminar, The GS1 Asia Pacific Regional Forum 2016 which was the Seminar for all member groups of GS1 in the Asia-Pacific Areas on 14 September 2016 at Chada Hall, Siam Kempinsky Hotel in Bangkok. The event was hosted by GS1 Thailand of the F.T.I. It was honored by the presence of Ms.Malee Wongsaroje, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Technology who shared the official function. The Seminar aimed at the progressive application of barcoding system under the GS1 to reach the level of best practices in the region. This would strengthen the economic development in the countries within the region. Case studies from various Asia Pacific Region countries were staged to enable participants to apply them in their home country. This will be the part of the program to help boosting their competitive edge in the region in both the development of their logistics and supply chains of the future.

7 7 On 14 September 2016 at Room 7 of F.T.I. Office Mr. Chen Namchaisiri and top executives of F.T.I. TIPMSE were handed with the donated fund in support of the management of TIP- MSE in the 3Rs Project. The donation was performed by Dr. Witun Simachokdi, the Chairman of Resources Sustainable Management the 3Rs. The fund amounted to 5.2 Million Baht. Mr. Chen Namchaisiri, F.T.I. Chairman with top executives of F.T.I. joined the Organizing Committee for F.T.I. Outlook 2017 Seminar at the GS1 (4) to plan on the format on this seminar aiming at optimizing the benefits to be gained by the participants which will be held on 28 November 2016 at the Plenary Hall of the QNSCC. At the function there will bee presentations on the Economic Outlook for 2017 plus Industry 4.0, the new change for Thailand.
