5 Long Valley Fire 83,740 Acres Date of Origin July California (Doyle) / Nevada (Reno) After more than a dozen days of intensive firefighting with afternoon winds and several days of red flag warnings in very dry fuels, the Long Valley fire was contained. SoCal Team 1 was the incident management team managing the fire. IFPD Battalion Chief Mark LaMont was assigned to this incident as a member of So. Cal USFS Team 1 as a Division Supervisor from July 11 July 25 th 2017 (384 hrs.)

The local forest called for a type 2 IMT and SoCal Team 1 managed the fire. IFPD Battalion Chief Mark LaMont was assigned to this incident as a Division Supervisor on Team 1 from August 17 th September 2nd 2017 (432 hrs.)

The local forest called for a type 2 IMT and SoCal Team 1 managed the fire. IFPD Battalion Chief Mark LaMont was assigned to this incident as a Division Supervisor with Team 1 from September 8 th through 26 th 2017 (432 hrs.) IFPD Engineer Jim LaMont was assigned as a Supply and Receiving/ Distribution Manager trainee from September 10 th through September 26 th 2017 (384 hrs.)

(12/9-12/ man hrs.) Crew was swapped out on 12/18 with a new IFPD crew consisting of James LaMont, Russel Bray and Nelson Escovar, Jamie Ruiz remained from the original crew. Crew remained until 12/21 (384 man hours.
