3 Speakers of the conference Joan Fontrodona Felip Joan Fontrodona is associate professor and chairman of business ethics and academic director of the IESE Center for Business in Society. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy and an MBA in management. Joan Fontrodona consulted the global CSR project. Constanze Helmchen Political scientist by training, Constanze J. Helmchen has spent the last ten years on questions surrounding corporate responsibility for sustainable development in its diverse dimensions. Moving from strategic management consultancy at the Boston Consulting Group she returned to her university focus on ethnic conflict resolution. At the consultancy IFOK she then concentrated on tri-sector facilitation processes, bringing together the public, private and civil society interests on various issues from environmental challenges to community and development issues. Now in her fifth year with the German Technical Cooperation, GTZ, she returned from Bolivia in January 2007 to coordinate the German Global Compact Network as UN-mandated Focal Point. Miroslava Hrnčířová Miroslava Hrnčířová works for Česká exportní banka, ČEB. She held numerous leadership roles in the area of financing international projects and investitions. She has in-depth experience in the area of developing and emerging markets. Dagmar Kuchtová Dagmar Kuchtová is the deputy director general and the director of external relations department of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic. She graduated from the Prague University of Economics and started her career in the foreign trade company Strojexport. After she served as the office manager in the Czech branch office of the Atlas Copco Tools Ltd. Since 2006 she has been involved in the Private Sector Platform for Development Cooperation, PPZRS. Petr Jelínek Petr Jelínek is the first director of the newly established Czech Development Agency, ČRA, which is responsible for management of bilateral development cooperation of the Czech Republic. He obtained his MA in political science and history of international relations at the Charles University in Prague. Since 2002, he has been working as a researcher at the Institute of International Relations in Prague. At the same time he started his cooperation with the Czech Development Centre. Mr. Jelínek was also responsible for the preparation of new project cycle management guidelines for the Czech development cooperation. Maximilian Oettingen Maximilian Oettingen conducts applied research for the Business & Development department of the Institute zur Cooperation bei Entwicklungs-Projekten, ICEP. He holds a doctorate in philosphy and was principally engaged in drafting, writing and editing Business and Poverty: The global CSR case-book. Barbara Schweiger Barbara Schweiger is head of the department for business partnerships of the Austrian Development Agency, ADA, an instrument of the Development Cooperation of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is senior expert for the programme implementation, particularly in the Eastern European countries (Balkan States, Caucasus, Central Asia). She has in-depth experience in public procuring as well as in Public Private Partnerships (PPP) in the field of development cooperation. Ondřej Škorpil Ondřej Škorpil, head of ČSOB corporate office, in charge of CSR and public affairs. He is with CSOB since Prior to his career in banking he held various managerial positions in LogicaCMG and Contactel. He also worked for three years as an adviser to the deputy speaker of the Czech Senate. Mr. Škorpil is a graduate of the Anglo-American College, University of Banking and a student of political science and international relations at the CEVRO Institute.

The platform was established by three biggest Czech associations of entrepreneurs - The Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, The Association of Engineering Technology, The Association of Czech Railway Industry. The platform is fully independent of the government, political parties and trade unions.
