16 FINISHES 24k Gold Plate: 24k yellow gold applied by an electroplating process to a nickel plated base material creating a brilliant shine. Natural: a solid material badge (not plated) with a highly polished natural brass finish. Gold Satin Antique: a solid material badge (not plated) of natural satin with a special antiquing process applied to the polished finish. Rhodium Plate: a rare metal group (more precious than gold) electroplating process which produces a brilliant-white and hard finish. Nickel Plate: nickel applied by an electroplating process to a brass metal base. It is silver in color. White Satin Antique: a solid material badge (not plated) of white base metal with a special antiquing process applied to the polished finish. Swat: a black finish applied by an electroplating process to a brass metal base, producing a subdued finish. 24k Goldtone: a natural polished (not plated) solid brass in a special gold color. Badge orders must be accompanied by a Letter of Authorization or proper identification. Badges will always be delivered to the department address. Badges will never be shipped to a home or any other address. As a condition of the sale, it is the responsibility of the buyer without any reservation, qualification, or restriction to ensure that any official issues product purchased from SymbolArts is used in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws or regulations. Warranty SymbolArts manufactures its products to a very high standard. All badges carry a LIFETIME warranty against the detachment of safety catches, joints and posts, as well as a 3-year warranty on banners/panels/seals and the discoloration of the cloisonné enamels under normal wear and tear. In addition, each badge carries a 1-year warranty against peeling or flaking of the clear coat protective covering. The clear coat warranty will be voided if the badge is polished by hand or machine with any metal polish or cleaning/ abrasive solution; the badge is soaked or exposed to any solvent; the badge is exposed to fire or prolonged heat; or the badge is repaired or modified by anyone other than SymbolArts. All other manufacturing defects are guaranteed for a period of one (1) year. The warranty period begins from the date stamped on the back of the badge and applies to NORMAL wear. Deliveries Because each badge is custom-made to meet your specifications, normal lead time is 8 weeks. Larger orders or custom designs may take longer. Cancellation and Changes Changes or cancellations received within 24 hours after receipt of order will be handled at no charge. Changes or cancellations received subsequently will be charged a minimum fee of $38 per badge. Repairs All warranty repairs are handled immediately at no charge. All nonwarranty repairs require a minimum charge of $38 per badge plus freight. Unrepairable badges will be remade at the regular badge price. Refurbishing SymbolArts offers badge refurbishing on a case-by-case basis. Refurbishing carries a $38 minimum fee. Any non- SymbolArts badge can be refurbished based on a negotiated price; however, this is done at your own risk. SymbolArts does not guarantee the outcome nor offer any warranty on the refurbishing of a non-symbolarts badge. Die Setup Charges New badges require a one-time mold charge; however, this amount is waived with a minimum order of 50 or more pieces. It is mutually understood that all dies are to remain in the possession of SymbolArts. Custom Art Design SymbolArts will custom design your own badge. New badge designs can be based on your specifications or created from scratch by our talented artists. Complicated and time consuming designs, however, will be subject to an art fee. To ensure that we meet your specifications, all artwork must be customer approved prior to production. Any artwork created on your behalf remains the property of SymbolArts and may not be copied or used for other purposes without the prior written consent from SymbolArts.
