1 CCG Chief Financial Officers Financial Control NHS England Quarry House Quarry Hill Leeds LS2 7UE 07 February 2017 Gateway reference number: Dear Colleague 2016/17 non-recurrent increase in allocation due to impact of NHS Property Services move to charging market rents Thank you for the response from your CCG to my letter dated 11 January I can confirm that we have processed an allocation increase for your CCG as shown in the table at Appendix 1. You should already have received notification of this increase in allocation on 1 February Thank you for your efforts in agreeing this allocation. Please can I urge you to use this additional allocation to both settle your own outstanding bills and provide appropriate funding to others to settle their debts as soon as possible, in order to help reduce the significant amount of debt currently held by NHS Property Services. You may have already factored this into your requested cash drawdown for 1 February However, if you require additional cash to facilitate settlement of this debt, please be aware that you can request a supplementary cash draw down. The deadline for this is 9 February for cash to be transferred to you on 15 February. I would also like to reiterate that these additional funds are being provided to mitigate the increases in charges from NHS Property Services to reflect moving to market rental values and should not be used for any other purpose. For your information, NHS Property Services has recently provided a link to their contacts page on their website. This can be found at and you may find it useful in working with NHS Property Services.
2 If you have any further queries, please contact Yours sincerely Louise Hampson Interim Director of Financial Control CC Paul Baumann, NHS England Chief Financial Officer Regional Directors of Finance, NHS England Julian Pearce, Director of Finance, NHS Property Services Elizabeth O Mahoney, Director of Finance, NHS Improvement Ben Masterson, Head of Company Management Branch, Department of Health
