Trailing edge dimming typically offers numerous advantages over leading edge dimming such as lower lamp start-up current, lower repetitive peak currents resulting in me load per dimmer, usually silent lamp operation, etc. Since most of these advantages also apply to conventional lamps such as halogen and incandescent, trailing edge is recommended f most phase cut dimming applications. Leading edge dimming is thus reserved f a very small percentage of dimmable lamps specifically designed f leading edge dimming inductive loads. PURPOSE: Special lamp requirements (might require dimmer de-rating, please consult Shuttle Lighting) Fault finding and diagnostics Leading edge mode 10 Lamp will turn on to approximately 50% PURPOSE: Diagnostics Check whether dimmer is in Leading Trailing edge mode 18 Leading edge mode: the lamp will turn on to approximately 50% Trailing edge mode: the lamp will remain off 5

6 Power failure behaviour (Applies to dimmer firmware ver 7.05 and later) PURPOSE: In facty default mode, if the lights were on befe a power failure, the dimmer will turn the lights on to approximately 50% after power is rested. If the lights were off befe the power failure, it will remain off when power is rested This setting allows a custom behaviour after a power failure Memy after power failure 20 If light was on, it will briefly turn off and on If lamp was off, it will turn on Lamp : If the lamp is off when activating this setting, the lamp will always remain off after a power failure. If the lamp is on when activating this setting, the lamp will always turn on to the at the time of activating this setting (but will still remain off after a power failure if the lamp was off befe the power failure.)
