1 BIRD LIST The species list below is largely based on data submitted since 2007 for the Second Southern African Bird Atlas Project (SABAP2) (see: Birds which is on the reserve list and which have not been recorded during SABAP2 is listed in italics. The species name is as in the BirdLife South Africa 2015 checklist (see The Migratory column indicates if the species migrate north and would therefore not been on the reserve during winter. The Status column indicates if the species is common or uncommon in area. This is based on the reporting rate of lists submitted to SABAP2.
