2 Molecular Chess Set Originally developed as a gift to my older brother for completion of his Organic Chemistry degree, this chess set represents 32 custom molded, resin cast molecules present in critical brain functions. Each individual molecule involved the fusing of glass and steel and submersion in a three-layer resin mold. Each piece varies in complexity to coincide with the strength and movement of the character in the game. The base is constructed with a semitransparent acrylic panel enclosed by a cherry wood frame. 12 P u b l i c E x p r e s s i o n Chamber This public expression chamber was positioned in the 3rd Ward district of downtown Milwaukee with a variety of multi-colored paint markers and a sign with two words: Translate Yourself. The structure was designed to constrict the user with minimal space for movement on the inside and the lower positioning of the door, while simultaneously allowing passing spectators to openly view the users expression. 30 x30 x78 Spring 2008
