16 CREATIVITY, DESIGN AND INNOVATION CENTRE PLUS FabLab Craft producers constantly need to refine existing product and keep abreast of market demands and consumer trends. This program is designed to enhance both creativity and products through workshops. The schedule of Workshops can be accessed through CCDI. The Centre also houses the AMTS FabLab * which gives open access to design manufacturing technology. * The Cape Town FabLab is a joint initiative between the CCDI and AMTS (Advanced Manufacturing Technology Strategy) of the CSIR. and
17 ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAMME Are craft producers making a profit or charging the correct prices? Do craft producers know and practice the principles of a healthy business? CCDI s helps these craft producers through training programmes that it runs. The CCDI also links these enterprises with existing organisations in their area that are working with business support.
