Country II s single broad vertical addition to the backrest is reminiscent of a Ming chair from China s past. The angled wooden spokes of Country III recall the furniture style of England, and the classic look of Country IV is evocative of Denmark s furniture. All four designs of the Country Chair have Side Chair, Arm Chair and Barstool versions. Non-stackable.

5 8 COUNTRY I 9 COUNTRY I Aptly named the Country chair, it s a clear example of how the same design can be adapted to suit different cultures and styles by changing only slight details such as the backrest. Country s easy adaptability allows distinctive features of different cultures to be incorporated into the design as the chair crosses borders from Europe to Asia. Country I is distinctively Italian in feel.

Country II, for instance, is reminiscent of a Ming chair from China s

Country II, for instance, is reminiscent of a Ming chair from China s dynastic past. All it takes is a single broad vertical addition to the backrest to give it an Oriental flavour.

7 12 COUNTRY III 13 COUNTRY III It s the same sturdy frame. Simply exchange the vertical backrest for some wooden spokes, angle them for a different effect, and a new version of the chair is born. Country III recalls the furniture style of England.

8 14 COUNTRY IV 15 COUNTRY IV The more classic-looking Country IV, evocative of Denmark s furniture, is achieved by dovetailing the slants of the wooden spokes towards the seat of the chair. Every version of the Country chair is available as a side chair, arm chair and barstool. There are also six solid colours from which to choose. Non-stackable.

10 18 19 DESIGNER ENRIQUE MARTI Enrique, the founder of Enrique Martí Studio, is an Industrial Design Engineer and he holds a Master in Design and Product Development from Cardenal Herrera, CEU University, Spain. When he left Andreu World SA in 2006 after nine years with the Spanish company, he was managing the Design and Technical department as Product Manager. Enrique has extensive experience in the furniture business as well as indepth knowledge of market needs.
