4 A creative journey Founders René and Marianne The first wallets were produced on our kitchen table at home, together with friends and family. This was back in Through creating this design label, our dream came true. As partners, we had already been living and working together for 25 years. Our design backgrounds in fashion and products are now strongly reflected in the Secrid brand: innovative lifestyle accessories for everyday use. Today we work with our children and more than 70 colleagues in a beautiful old factory building. It still feels like one big family. 7 8

5 Team The kitchen table still has a central position in our company - for informal discussions, a communal lunch and the perfect espresso. With an average age of 26 years, our team is young and energetic. A diverse family of 70 colleagues spread over various departments: from our international customer service to supply chain and from a creative studio to our on-site warehouse. We choose our colleagues for their character rather than their CV. We see this as the basis for building a team. Personal growth is our biggest aim. We place great importance on training and coaching to maintain our company values, and naturally on a barista course. 9 10

6 CARDPROTECTOR The original since 2009 The original Cardprotector is the heart of our collection and our most minimalist wallet. It has a patented sliding system that gives access to the cards you use most with one simple click. Additionally, the sleek aluminium Cardprotector protects your cards against bending, breaking and unwanted wireless reading of RFID and NFC cards. The Cardprotector won the Red Dot Design Award. 12

7 Bright grains of colour MINIWALLET CRISPLE Aniline dyed, corrected-grain leather made from European cowhides. Embossed with fine Saffiano print, this leather is deeply coloured making it resistant to scratches and stains. Available as Miniwallet in ten bright colour combinations

8 Classic beauty NILE BROWN This high-grade European cow leather has a handmade crocodile embossed finish. The deep rich multitone colour is achieved with the special tamponato technique and finished with a high gloss. The Nile is available in Black, Brown and Red

9 MONEYBAND The slimmest solution for cash and receipts The Moneyband is designed for holding banknotes and receipts. Made of colourful elastic and stainless steel, the rubber detail on the inside keeps everything firmly in place. Alternatively, the Moneyband can join two Cardprotectors together, with extra space for some notes or business cards in between. 10 1 CARDSLIDE Extend your possibilities 2 The Cardslide consists of a Cardprotector and a Slide, held together by a Moneyband. The Slide provides extra space for business cards, banknotes and any smaller personal goods such as a photo, SD card or bike key. Made of high-quality polycarbonate - as used in bulletproof glass - with slimline touches of stainless steel, it provides optimal protection for your belongings. 14 An exclusive leather of Dutch origin DUTCH MARTIN Martin Antheunisse is a Dutch craftsman who specialises in leather finishing. With over 30 years of experience he developed a new type of leather for Secrid: Dutch Martin. Leather with a characteristic appearance and feel, developed and produced exclusively in the Netherlands. The coating is transparent and natural due to the use of wax, oil and grease. The hard carnauba wax makes the leather scratch-resistant and waterrepellent. This gives it a natural gloss that deepens over time. Available in the colours Night Blue, Whiskey and Bordeaux

15 Deep green with a touch of gold RANGO GREEN Corrected-grain leather, made from European cowhides. This high-quality type of leather has a satin gloss lizard embossing and a deep duotone colour. Available as Miniwallet and Slimwallet

17 Full of character VINTAGE BROWN Our Vintage leather has a carefully abraded surface and a wax finish that gives a pull-up effect: light scratches can be polished away by hand. This lively type of leather becomes more personal with use. Available in six colours

19 Anders Andersson Made in Holland By 2009 the leather industry had practically abandoned the Netherlands in favour of low-income countries. Secrid has brought this industry back to our home country. By developing a revolutionarily different product and production process, wallets are once again being produced on a large scale in the Netherlands. More efficient and cleaner than ever, in a quantity never before seen in this tiny country. Close cooperation with our 40 suppliers is therefore very important - from the sewing workshop in Vlaardingen to the social enterprise in Leiden. Produced in favourable conditions and with due care for the environment, Secrid has already created more than 200 jobs in the Netherlands

20 Aluminium Leather The heart The hides Only about ten companies in the world are producing high-precision aluminium profiles. As luck would have it, two of these are based here in Holland. In addition to having clients in the aviation and motor industries they now also work for Secrid. One of the last remaining tanneries in the Netherlands produces a large part of our leather. This family business was established in 1906 and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. They also supply leather to luxury French and Italian fashion houses. The leather is tanned under strictly controlled conditions, assuring a reliable top-quality product

21 Social enterprises Close to a hundred people are enthusiastically and precisely assembling our products every day at social enterprises in Leiden, Delft and Haarlem. Together with these colleagues we are constantly developing the tools and processes to maintain the quality of the product and the working conditions. After all the various components have been assembled here, every wallet receives its unique serial number as proof of authenticity

25 RFID safe The latest generation of bank, travel and ID cards are equipped with RFID (Radio-frequency identification) chips and antennas to enable wireless communication. RFID unsafe RFID safe RFID safe to use This is convenient but also comes with risks, as RFID cards can be scanned and skimmed from long distances. Theft of personal data and money may occur without being noticed. When RFID cards are inside the Cardprotector completely, this wireless communication is blocked and the cards are fully protected. When the cards are slid out 30 mm, the wireless signal is weak, but sufficient for communication over a short distance. This way your privacy remains secured in the best possible way. 50

26 Silent salesman Our displays Functioning as attention grabber and conversation starter, our dynamic displays automatically demonstrate the sliding system of our wallets.
