2 Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Informaton Technology Dr. Gopal Krishna Nayak B.Tech. (IIT, Kharagpur), PGDM (IIM, Bangalore), Ph.D. (IIT, Kharagpur) Director and Professor of Computer Science & Engineering Dr. Nayak is one of the founding professors of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. He has spent over 19 years there. He held many leadership roles in XIM-B: Area Coordinator -Information Systems, Admissions Coordinator, Dean and Member of the Board. Before entering into academics, Dr. Nayak had spent a few years in the Industry. He enjoys playing with Technology and Programming. Two of his most significant creations are the Hibiscus, an ERP system for Institutes of Higher Learning and the PAMIS, a Project based Accounting and Monitoring Information System. Prof. Nayak also provides strategic advice to IDCO, CESU and many other State Government Depts. His research interests include Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Process Mining and ERP. He is a professional member of Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), IEEE Computer Society & Society of Operations Management. Ajit Kumar Das B.Tech. (IIT, Kharagpur), M.Tech. (UU), Ph.D. (UU) Registrar and Professor of Computer Science & Engineering Prof. Das has spent many years in the Industry & IT Promotion before stepping into academics. He held many top level management positions such as Director and Chief Executive of ELCOSMOS Electronics Ltd., Director of Electronics Test and Development Centre (ETDC), Dean of Odisha Centre for IBM Software. He is associated with the Institute since its inception in He served as a visiting Professor of many reputed Institutes in the field of Digital Electronics, Computer Organization and Architecture. His current research interests are in the field of Computational Finance and Computer Architecture.

3 Anjali Mohapatra M.Tech. (Utkal), Ph.D. (Utkal) Dr. Anjali Mohapatra is the Program Coordinator of the DST-FIST-Sponsered Bio-Informatics Lab. She teaches Design and Analysis of Algorithms and Computer Graphics. Her research area includenovel application areas of Computer Science such as Computational Molecular Biology, Soft Computing and Algorithms. She has life membership of OITS, ACM, Association of Computer of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (ACEEE) and Odisha Physical Society (OPS). Ajaya Kumar Dash M.Tech. (NIT, Rourkela), Ph.D.* (IIT Bhubaneswar) Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Prof. Dash teaches subjects like Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Programming in C, Computer Graphics and Digital Image processing. His area of interest is Computer Vision with more focus towards augmented reality. He has 3.5 years of work and teaching experience. Some of his previous research publications include works related to image segmentation, Indian currency recognition. Currently, he is working on Augmented Reality and its applications in education. Bharati Mishra M.Tech. (IIIT Bhubaneswar), Ph.D. (IIIT Bhubaneswar) AssistantProfessor of Computer Science & Engineering Prof. Mishra s research interest lies in the area of Information Security. She teaches Java Programming, C Programming and Data Structure. She brings in with her more than 5 years of industry experience and has mentored the Runners Up team in IBM-The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC) from our college. She has professional membership of ACM, IEEE and Asian Wordnet. She has 4 research papers to her name and she received the Best Paper Award in CCEM Conference Debasish Jena M.Tech., Ph.D. (NIT Rourkela), MBA Dean (Training and Placement) and Associate Professor of Computer Science & Engineering Dr. Jena has more than 15 years of Industry experience. He was consulting to Health Department, Govt. of Odisha for a period of 2 years. He is the author or co-author of over 50 publications and book chapters. His research interests are Information Security, Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks, and Network Security. His professional memberships include IEEE, ACM, ISTE, IACSIT, MIE (I), CSI, and OITS. Hemant Kumar Pati M.Tech., Ph.D. (IIT Kharagpur) Dr. Pati s teaching as well as research interests are Computer Networks, Mobile Computing & Software Engineering. He has published over 25 papers in his research area. He had his post-doctoral internship program in Distributed Systems Group in the Computer Science Department, Trinity College and University of Dublin, UK. His current area of research is Quality of Service (QoS) Provisioning in Personal Communication Networks. Muktikanta Sahu M.Tech. (BPUT), Ph.D.* (IIIT Bhubaneswar) Prof. Sahu s research interests are areas of Machine Learning, Parallel, and Distributed Computing. He teaches Object Oriented programming, Data Structures, Operating System and Advanced Computer Architecture. His current research projects are on Parallel Computing and Process Mining. (BPUT), Ph.D.* (SOA University, Bbsr) Prof. Mohapatra's interest areas include Microprocessor and Assembly Language Programming, System Architecture, Soft Computing and Data Mining.Her research interests is in the domains of Data Mining using Soft Computing.She has published 18 papers and she is a member of OITS, ISTD, ISTE and IEEE. Rakesh Chandra Balabantary M.Tech. (Utkal), Ph.D. (Utkal) Dean(Academics) and Associate Professor of Computer Science & Engineering Dr. Balabantaray s research interests lie in the areas of Intelligent Systems, Information Retrieval, and Natural Language Processing. He teaches Information Retrieval and Data Mining. He has published over 50 research papers. He has copyrights for the softwares he has developed. He is also the principal investigator of a project on the Development of Cross Lingual Access sponsored by GOI. Rakesh Kumar Lenka M.Tech. (Utkal University), Ph.D.(Centre for Condensed Matter Theory, IISc, Banglore) Assistant Professor of Basic Sciences Dr. Nayak s teaching interests include Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, Condensed Matter Physics and Statistical Biophysics. His research interests include Pattern formation in excitable media and biological systems, especially, mathematical models of cardiac and uterine tissue, High-Performance-Computing (HPC) studies of mathematical models, Complex living systems, Brain dynamics, Non-linear dynamical systems and Non-equilibrium statistical physics. (Utkal), Ph.D. (IIT Kharagpur) Assistant Professor of Basic Sciences Prof. Satapathy teaches Chemistry to freshmen, Material Sciences and Environmental Engineering to Sophomores. Her teaching interests are Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, and Materials Science.
