1 PRŮMYSLOVÉ SPEKTRUM Technical engineering magazine Mediadata 2018 Focused on manufacturing technology and engineering We are experiencing a synergy of new technologies, materials, approaches and processes. It is anticipated that the next one hundred months will bring such social jumps as in the entire twentieth century. Innovations in space, aviation, power engineering and other hi-tec fields are now becoming standards in civil use. The rapid expansion of automation, computer, information and communication technologies together with increasingly opening global markets and globalization moves the necessity of innovations into more spheres of production. MM Industrial Spectrum within the past twenty years of its existence reflected the progress of innovation in all fields which were for the Czech Republic and Slovakia highly topical. Each edition was monothematically focused on particular technologies with a broad extent. Dramatic changes in technologies also result in the gradual extinction of traditional technologies and/or we witness their integration. We take this fact into account in particular editions of MM Industrial Spectrum and concentrate increasingly on manufacturing technology and engineering which are upholders of the progress of innovations and reflect the research and development milestones of the recent period. We present a concept of the layout of topics in MM Industrial Spectrum 2018 which are in full agreement with the current level of technological knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering and related fields. Particular editions will be created under the supervision of key experts in particular fields, leaders in manufacturing technology and engineering will demonstrate here their innovative solutions to technological issues. Their references will be demonstrated on selected top customers who, owing to the integration of these high-tech technologies, were able to reach a high level of competitiveness of their products on the challenging world market. We are proud partners of our home industry and it is a great honour to share such information with the broad spectrum of readers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Team of MM Industrial Spectrum

They work in companies with 100 employees the production of which is exported more than 50 %. The average number of readers of one edition is approx. 2.2, i.e. on average 22 thousand readers. The journal has a great proportion of loyal readers, 46% of them read MM Industrial Spectrum regularly. They are mainly directors of firms (general, sales, technical) or managers directly subordinated to the director (57 %). They make decisions themselves or participate extensively in decision making (69 %). The aggregate invested capital of 20 % of the firms is higher than CZK 20 mil. One third of the firms are those with a turnover higher than CZK 200 mil. A majority of the firms are those with private capital (89%). More than a half of the firms are companies limited (Co. Ltd. 62 %). MM Industrial Spectrum was evaluated as the most widely read home engineering monthly. Readers mainly appreciate the professional level of the contributions, their thematic scope, graphical quality and clarity. MM Industrial Spectrum is the most read journal on technological issues by technical directors. MM Industrial Spectrum is the most read journal on technological issues among managers of firms with highest turnovers (more than CZK 200 mil.), 44% of them read it at least occasionally. It is published in a number of other European and Asian countries and became a leader on the European market and completely covers the Asian industrial territories. The Czech MM Průmyslove spektrum cooperates with partner journals and thus makes it possible to promote Czech firms on a global level. The publisher MM Publishing Co.Ltd. has its own licence for the label MM for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. However this does not mean that we are a mere translation of the German edition. We are focused on firms operation on the above two markets. On average approximately 5 10% of the edition is distributed among Slovak mechanical engineering firms. MM publishing The company publishes professional technical titles, monothematic publications and other printed material, was established in During its tenure the company has gained a solid position among the professional publishers and the MM Prumyslove spektrum monthly magazine became the most widely read engineering magazine in this country. Especially because of the content quality, there is a great regard for the professional publications which are published in cooperation with the experts from the specific engineering fields, as well as the special materials and guides used by the government and industry associations. Science Journal indexed in renowned citation databases MM (Modern Machinery) Science Journal is indexed in a prestigious citation database Scopus and in citation database Ebsco. The title is published since 2008 in english and publishing is evaluated by RIV points. Members of the editorial staff participate in a wide range of assessment authorities in the research programs, advisory and consultancy groupsand evaluation committees (e. g. In 2014 was released a book monography Design of CNC machine tools III. This publication brings a new perspective to the design of CNC machines. In 2015 the english version of this scientific monography was released. Since 2015 the Engineering Academy of the Czech Republic awards its prize to the best scientific paper published in the MM Science Journal and presents it at a festive meeting at the Bethlehem Chapel.
