2 Our Primary Objectives Involve the complete value chain of big data stakeholders to reach a common vision for an ethically sound approach to processing big data Improve the dialogue between data subjects and big data communities (industry, research, policy makers, regulators) and, thereby, to improve the confidence of citizens towards big data technologies and data markets. 2

9 Planning and Creating synergy for events e-sides The events will be co-located with events attracting stakeholders Outside stakeholders will be invited to participate Each event will have two priorities in terms of content. A topic closely linked to upcoming e-sides position paper is discussed. A more general topic related to privacy-preserving big data technologies is put up for discussion. 10 Creating an online platform This platform is linked to the project website The purpose of the platform is to provide a low-threshold access to the stakeholder dialogue promoted by e-sides and encourage civil society to participate in the discussion. It will include links to the findings of the community events and provide the possibility to log comments effectively engaging these stakeholders. It will be used to share findings in dedicated webinars that will report findings of the community events to a wider community and to those that were unable to participate. Some selected portions of the events will either be streamed or recorded and offered on demand. 11 Establishing an Advisory Board The focus of T1.3 is to establish and manage an e-sides Advisory Board (AB).
