5 CODESIGN SESSION 2: OD&M VISION BACKCASTING Aim: To establish through vision back- casting the common ODM vision. It will output a higher- level model of curriculum and concerns. This will also sensitize all partners to the curriculum design methodology.

6 CODESIGN SESSION 3: CHALLENGE VISION BACKCASTING Aim: To develop specific training programmes will be developed by iterating the backcasting method with the 4 projects identified/ contributed by the partners. This will establish 4 project based visions.

7 CODESIGN SESSION 4:OD&M LEARNING ARCHES Aim: To develop specific modules through the application of learning arches incorporating learning resources, curriculum and experiences identified through the backcasting (training contents and methods, hours, accreditation, calendar, modalities for subscription, expected learning outcomes).

9 MAIN GOAL OF THE RESEARCH Achieve in depth understanding of how and to what extent the making culture and, by extension, the OD&M paradigm is becoming the ground of synergies and collaboration between HEIs, makers communities and manufacturing companies across Europe and, in particular, in the 4 pilot nodes The OD&M Triangle Makers: profiles, values, principles HEIs: main actions OD&M enterprises: approach to market, BMs, products, value chains Manufacturers: awareness and potential interest

10 METHOD Qualitative study: Ø Desk research Ø Survey addressed to makers Ø Semi- structured interviews: Academics from different disciplinary domains, Makerspaces coordinators and representatives, Manufacturers Ø Focus- groups: makers from different types of communities (community- based, HEIs promoted, market- oriented) Ø Observation during events in makerspaces

This common lexicon will be carried forward into backasting.
