Its aim is the creation of research-enabled commercial outcomes and products for its customers including Fairfax Digital, Infosys, RACQ, Suncorp, AARNet and Austin Health. My roles in this project include project research and system development, project management and junior researcher supervision. I am working on the Personalisation project that researches and develops advanced data-mining techniques for tailoring online services to specific individuals through the identification of individual customer behaviour. This work is applied to highvisibility web properties from CRC industry partners and customers in order to provide a superior user experience on differentiating service features that directly drive revenues. 2 The objective and outcome include: Develop novel techniques for user profiling and market segmentation including dynamic segmentation, and use these for the construction of user profiles and new market segmentation models of customers and social networks of customers. Develop recommendation and information filtering techniques for improving the relevance of content in services. Industry-specific prototypes demonstrating the personalisation of services based on user profiles and market segmentation models. Improved ability to segment the market and personalise products and services. Improved ability to develop more relevant products and services for audiences and customers. Being about to be deployed into one of the top online dating social networking sites in the world, prototypes based on our developed methods have recently completed their real trials Research Engineer, Video Data Analysis National ICT Australia Limited National ICT Australia is an company in the business of research, commercialisation and research training. With over 700 people, National ICT Australia is the largest research company in Australia dedicated to ICT research. I worked on the Smart Transport and Roads project using advanced information and communications technologies to help solve the world's urban traffic congestion problems. My work in this project involved the investigate and development of traffic monitoring systems using data mining, pattern recognition and video data analysis techniques. The project was one of National ICT Australia's largest scale projects that is with NSW Transport Road and Traffic Authority. Results of the project are expected to lead to large economic and environmental benefits arising from better traffic control, more reliable travel times and more efficient incident management.
