Sew-ology Gazette Dear Material Girl, September 2018 Kids are heading back to school, soon the leaves will be changing colors, and cooler weather will be here. We will be heading back to our sewing and craft rooms as we return to regular schedules. We have a new one day Kimberbell event to help us kick off that season. We also have a returning favorite Kimberbell event, Merry and Bright, coming in November. Save your dates for some holiday fun. If you missed it previously now is your chance. Don t worry for those that already participated in Merry and Bright, we have something special coming soon. We are just not ready to spill the details quite yet. Needle Notebooks Store all your needle packs in this handy little notebook! Machine Brands and Hoops of all sizes are welcome. There may be some limitations to which size you are able to create depending upon the largest hoop available for your machine. Thursday, September 20 10:00am-1:00pm (1 day course) $35* *Class fee includes the design collection Join us for a few hours of slowing down and comradery. Grab any handwork project that has been lying around for you to finish and come on by. It is time to finish it. It does not have to be a quilting related project. Bring lunch, snack, or enough to share and have a great morning of stitching No Machines allowed! Thursday, September 6 10:00am-2:00pm $5.00 October 26 and 27 (Friday and Saturday) The Material Girls Quilters' Quest Cruise liner departs each day from LaPlata, MD and returns each evening. The cost is $150 per person. The cost includes 1 hour stops at all 10 shops, lunch each day and a pizza party on Friday evening. A deposit of $75 is required to hold your spot. The balance for the bus trip will be due September 15th, 2018. After 9/15/18, there will be no refunds.
Class Symbol Key =Beginner Machine =Beginner Embroidery =Advanced Beginner =Intermediate 1. Class fees must be paid IN FULL at time of registration. You can register in person, by mail, or by phone. Class minimum is 5 students. If Material Girls must cancel a class due to lack of participation, the class fees may be transferred to another class or refunded. You must register for a class at least 24 hours in advance. 2. A refund of store credit is only provided if you cancel 1 week prior to start of class. If the cancellation is less than one week, no refunds will be given. 3. Space is reserved on a first come first serve basis and students are required to bring a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies to each class. 4.
