Opening Keynote: The Malaysian Capital Market Outlook Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar Chairman Securities Commission Malaysia Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar was appointed the Chairman of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) on 1 April 2006. She had served as the Deputy Chief Executive of the SC and member of the Commission since 1 December 2001. Tan Sri Zarinah is also the Vice Chairman of the Emerging Markets Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and was the Chairman of the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum from 2006-2008. Tan Sri Zarinah currently chairs the Malaysian Venture Capital Development Council (MVCDC) and the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF). She is also a member of the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA), the Financial Reporting Foundation (FRF), Malaysia International Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC), and the Board of Directors of the Institut Integriti Malaysia (IIM) and the Asian Institute of Finance Malaysia. Prior to joining the SC, Tan Sri Zarinah was the Deputy Chairman of Shell Malaysia. She graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of Malaya. Session One : New Realities of the Investment Environment for 2011 and Beyond The implications for Investment Advisory Ms Iris Kao Principal Consultant Mercer, Singapore Pte Ltd Iris Kao is a Principal Consultant at Mercer (Singapore) Pte Ltd, responsible for spearheading the Wealth Management Consulting business in Singapore. In this role, she brings institutional-quality investment advices and solutions to wealth management companies. Prior to this, Iris was a Director and Investment Consultant at UBS Wealth Management. Her other assignments over the past 17 years included regional roles as Assistance Vice President at Citibank, NA, and Financial Analyst at Hexcel Pacific Rim Corporation.

Moderator Session 2A: Governance Towards Market Integrity and Enhancing Investors Protection Mr Dinesh Virik Executive Director Perkasa Normandy Dinesh s career commenced in Normandy over 14 years ago where he gained experience in capital raising exercises, private equity investments, and other corporate finance activities. He has been involved in capital raising and corporate management assignments in Singapore, Australia and America. In 2004, he has moved from corporate finance to the development of Normandy s wealth management business. Over the last 7 years, Dinesh has spearheaded the establishment of Normandy s investment advisory and consultancy business, advising both institutional and private clients on understanding clients investment needs, fund research and ratings, asset allocation strategies and the management of customised fund portfolios. Dinesh holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance from RMIT University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia and is qualified as a Chartered Wealth Manager (AAFM) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is a CMSRL holder in Fund Management and Investment Advice. Panelist Session 2A: Mr Christopher Foo Partner Raja, Darryl and Loh Advocates & Solicitors Christopher was admitted as a partner of Raja, Darryl and Loh Advocates and Solicitors on March 1, 1994. Since joining RDL, his practice has evolved into one consisting primarily of all levels of life insurance, asset management, unit trust and trustee-related work. He was also appointed as an independent member of the Board of Directors for FIMM for more than 10 years until recently when FIMM became a Self Regulatory Organisation. He had lectured on unit trusts for the Capital Markets Graduate Training Scheme run by the Securities Commission and has been a two term member of the Malaysian Bar Council. Currently he is a member of the Bar Council Corporate and Commercial Law Committee and still keeps in touch with his litigation roots by taking on a variety of court work for the firm. Panelist Session 2A: En. Mohamad Ayob Abu Hassan Affin Fund Management Berhad

Encik Mohamad Ayob is the of Affin Fund Management Berhad. He began his banking career with Maybank Berhad in April 1978 and was selected to join Maybank s International Department as a Foreign Exchange and Money Market Dealer in the same year. In May 1981, he was transferred to the Bank s London Branch as a Senior Dealer and was subsequently made the London Branch Manager in January 1984. He returned to Malaysia in December 1985 and served Maybank until July 1987. Between August 1987 and July 1990, he ventured into several other business activities including financial services, construction and manufacturing. Session 2B Identifying Best Practices in Unit Trust Distribution Standards for Enhanced Investor Protection Mr. John O Shaughnessy Principal AT Kearney Australia (Former) Deputy CEO, Investment & Financial Services Association (IFSA), Australia John is a Principal of AT Kearney (global management consultants) specialising in the financial services practice for the Asian region. He joined the financial services industry in 1970 and has held executive roles in corporate strategy and public policy, operations, product development, marketing and distribution in funds management, securities, life and general insurance. Prior to joining AT Kearney John was Deputy CEO of the Financial Services Council (FSC). From 1994, John had ten years with AMP (Australia s largest fund manager and life insurer) and held the roles of Head of Retail Strategy for Australia and New Zealand; Director of Retail Strategy for AMP UK; and Director of Strategy for AMP International where he was responsible for Virgin Direct, Cogent, AMP Banking as well as the European and Asian retail investment activities. John served as the inaugural Chair of the University of Adelaide s International Centre for Financial Services (ICFS) for 4 years and remains a Director. He also served as a Director of the Australian Services Roundtable for many years. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University and a Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of Western Sydney. John is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries (CSA) and a Fellow of the Financial Securities Institute of Australia (Finsia).

Panel Session 3A: Engaging The Next Generation Investors Moderator Mr Predeeben Kannan Managing Director, Probe Research (Former) Editor-in-Chief, Smart Investor Qualified in marketing and business from the United Kingdom, Predeeben Kannan started his career in the banking industry in the credit and collections bureau of MBF finance Berhad and later Hino Motors (M) Sdn Bhd. He ventured into the media industry in 1997. He led a pioneer team involved in starting up the business desk of ntv7, led by experts from Malaysia and abroad. Due to his dedication and enthusiasm, he was promoted to the position of Producer and later the Head of Business Desk of the ntv7 news team; then the top news team in Malaysia. The team was responsible for producing a profitable Budget news bulletin in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. He later moved to Singapore and was assigned as the Executive Producer responsible for a TV business magazine called Dollars & Sense. In addition to this, he wrote story concepts for several regional media organisations, such as BBC South East Asia and Discovery South East Asia. In 2003, he ventured into the magazine industry and was eventually assigned as Editor for Smart Investor magazine in Malaysia. In 2006, he wrote an article for Smart Investor Malaysia that won him the DiGi Journalism Award, for "Best Magazine Article". He served Smart Investor magazine as Editor-in-Chief until April 2010. In between, he also served as Editor-in-Chief of Business Today, PC.com and Digital Camera & Photography magazine. Predeeben Kannan has about 15 years experience in the media and journalism industry. He currently runs Probe Research, a media and investment advisory and consultancy organisation. Panelist Session 3A: Dato Steve Ong Chong Gain ING Funds Bhd Dato Steve Ong Chong Gain is the and Director of ING Funds Berhad (ING Funds). Dato Steve Ong started the company in 2004 and has grown the company to be one of the leading players in the local fund management industry. Prior to his move to ING Funds, he was involved with the life insurance business for 21 years. Dato Steve Ong is a seasoned professional with over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Campbell Tupling CIMB Principal Asset Management Bhd John Campbell Tupling was appointed the / Executive Director of CIMB-Principal Asset Manager Berhad on 1 November 2008. Has spent more than 11 years in various positions with Principal Financial Group including COO Asia (based in Hong Kong), Co-Head of Institutional Pension Segment (based in USA) and Managing Director of Principal International Spain. Previous experience was 15 years with American International Group in various capacities including Managing Director of AIG Mexico and AIG La Tandilense (Argentina). He holds a Bachelor of Arts, University of Western Ontario, Canada Panelist Session 3A: Puan Aldilla @Zilfalila Abdul Hanim Amanah Mutual Berhad Puan Sheila is the of Amanah Mutual Berhad (AMB) since March 2008. She is responsible in charting out a clear business plan and strategy to bring the company to greater heights. During her presence, AMB has successfully launched three new funds with one being the largest fund in Malaysia with over RM 2.00 billion Asset Under Management (AUM). As at July 2011, the AMB s Net Asset Value is RM 3.56 billion and the company is ranked 7 th out of 38 UTMCs in Malaysia. Prior to joining AMB, Puan Sheila worked for two subsidiaries of Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (CMS) namely CMS Asset Management as the Executive Director and CMS Trust Management Berhad as the Acting CEO. Prior to that, she also worked at the international outfit, Towry Law International and served as Director of Fund Management. In her early days, Puan Sheila served in two subsidiaries of PNB Group in the investment division. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
