Incorrect confguraton can cause defectve operaton, whch can lead to unt damage or an accdent. - If n the case of a unt malfuncton there s a rsk of a serous threat to the safety of people or property addtonal, ndependent systems and solutons to prevent such a threat must be used. - The unt uses dangerous voltage that can cause a lethal accdent. The unt must be swtched off and dsconnected from the power supply pror to startng nstallaton of troubleshootng (n the case of malfuncton). - Neghbourng and connected equpment must meet the approprate standards and regulatons concernng safety and be equpped wth adequate overvoltage and nterference flters. - Do not attempt to dsassemble, repar or modfy the unt yourself. The unt has no user servceable parts. Defectve unts must be dsconnected and submtted for repars at an authorzed servce centre.! - Do not use the unt n areas threatened wth excessve shocks, vbratons, dust, humdty, corrosve gasses and ols. - Do not use the unt n areas where there s rsk of explosons. 3

!! - Do not use the unt n areas wth sgnfcant temperature varatons, exposure to condensaton or ce. - Do not use the unt n areas exposed to drect sunlght. - Make sure that the ambent temperature (e.g. nsde the control box) does not exceed the recommended values. In such cases forced coolng of the unt must be consdered (e.g. by usng a ventlator). The unt s desgned for operaton n an ndustral envronment and must not be used n a household envronment or smlar. 2. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS Unversal programmable counter type SLIK-N118 s equpped wth many modern features requred n smple and advanced automatc control systems. The counter had been desgned for hard envronment condtons, and ncreased usefulness. The unt s assembled n panel mounted case wth programmng keyboard on front panel, and termnals on back panel. User can use local keyboard to set all necessary parameters due to hs own requrements. Buld n RS-485 communcaton nterface enables controllng of all settngs by host, and allows use of unt n advanced network systems. Two countng nputs (pulse nputs) can operate n few dfferent modes (as two ndependent pulse nputs or sngle quadrature nput). Addtonal programmable nput can change basc functon of countng nputs (addton or subtracton of pulses from nputs, change the drecton of countng) or to stop countng wthout clearng. Counter type SLIK-N118 s equpped wth ndependent clearng nput. The devce can be equpped wth two relay (or OC type) outputs wth ndependent threshold, whch can be used to control external devces. The counters SLIK-N118 are desgned for cooperaton wth electronc (PNP and NPN) detectors, and mechancal detectors swtches (buld n dgtal flter allows connectors denouncng). All nputs are separated from ground of counter, and power supply. The meter can be ordered n three power supply versons. The devce has 5 buttons beng used for man presets programmng. To get hgh protecton level, the keyboard s mounted under transparent cover. To allow user to change presets wthout openng the cover, an IR sensor s mounted. Remote controller keyboard s equvalent to the devce keyboard (Note, that remote controller s not a part of the SLIK-N118 set t s an addtonal equpment). 3. Ths s a class A unt. In housng or a smlar area t can cause rado frequency nterference. In such cases the user can be requested to use approprate preventve measures. 4. DEVICE INSTALLATION The unt has been desgned and manufactured n a way assurng a hgh level of user safety and resstance to nterference occurrng n a typcal ndustral envronment. In order to take full advantage of these characterstcs nstallaton of the unt must be conducted correctly and accordng to the local regulatons.! - Read the basc safety requrements on page 3 pror to startng the nstallaton. - Ensure that the power supply network voltage corresponds to the nomnal voltage stated on the unt s dentfcaton label. - The load must correspond to the requrements lsted n the techncal data. - All nstallaton works must be conducted wth a dsconnected power supply. - Protectng the power supply clamps aganst unauthorzed persons must be taken nto consderaton. 4.1. UNPACKING After removng the unt from the protectve packagng, check for transportaton damage. Any transportaton damage must be mmedately reported to the carrer. Also, wrte down the unt seral number on the housng and report the damage to the manufacturer. Attached wth the unt please fnd: - user s manual, - warranty, 6

ø8.4 User manual - COUNTER SLIK-N118 4.2. ASSEMBLY! - Dsconnect the power supply pror to startng assembly. - Check the connectons are wred correctly pror to swtchng the unt on.! To nstall devce on the wall, a pnholes should be made. Fgure 4.1 presents dmensons of the devce and dstances between holes. The back sde of the devce has four mountng holes. CONNECTION METHOD Cauton! - Installaton should be conducted by qualfed personnel. Durng nstallaton all avalable safety requrements should be consdered. The ftter s responsble for executng the nstallaton accordng to ths manual, local safety and EMC regulatons. - The unt s not equpped wth an nternal fuse or power supply crcut breaker. Because of ths an external tme-delay cut-out fuse wth mnmal possble nomnal current value must be used (recommended bpolar, max. 2A) and a power supply crcut-breaker located near the unt. In the case of usng a monopolar fuse t must be mounted on the phase cable (L). - The power supply network cable dameter must be selected n such a way that n the case of a short crcut of the cable from the sde of the unt the cable shall be protected aganst destructon wth an electrcal nstallaton fuse. - Wrng must meet approprate standards and local regulatons and laws. 7

! - In order to secure aganst accdental short crcut the connecton cables must be termnated wth approprate nsulated cable tps. - Tghten the clampng screws. The recommended tghtenng torque s 0.5 Nm. Loose screws can cause fre or defectve operaton. Over tghtenng can lead to damagng the connectons nsde the unts and breakng the thread. - In the case of the unt beng ftted wth separable clamps they should be nserted nto approprate connectors n the unt, even f they are not used for any connectons. - Unused clamps (marked as n.c.) must not be used for connectng any connectng cables (e.g. as brdges), because ths can cause damage to the equpment or electrc shock. - If the unt s equpped wth housng, covers and sealng packng, protectng aganst water ntruson, pay specal attenton to ther correct tghtenng or clampng. In the case of any doubt consder usng addtonal preventve measures (covers, roofng, seals, etc.). Carelessly executed assembly can ncrease the rsk of electrc shock. - After the nstallaton s completed do not touch the unt s connectons when t s swtched on, because t carres the rsk of electrcal shock. Due to possble sgnfcant nterference n ndustral nstallatons approprate measures assurng correct operaton of the unt must be appled. To avod the unt of mproper ndcatons keep recommendatons lsted below. Avod common (parallel) leadng of sgnal cables and transmsson cables together wth power supply cables and cables controllng nducton loads (e.g. contactors). Such cables should cross at a rght angle. Contactor cols and nducton loads should be equpped wth ant-nterference protecton systems, e.g. RC-type. Use of screened sgnal cables s recommended. Sgnal cable screens should be connected to the earthng only at one of the ends of the screened cable. In the case of magnetcally nduced nterference the use of twsted couples of sgnal cables (so-called sprals ) s recommended. The spral (best f shelded) must be used wth RS-485 seral transmsson connectons. In the case of measurement or control sgnals are longer than 30m or go outsde of the buldng then addtonal safety crcuts are requred. In the case of nterference from the power supply sde the use of approprate antnterference flters s recommended. Bear n mnd that the connecton between the flter and the unt should be as short as possble and the metal housng of the flter must be connected to the earthng wth largest possble surface. The cables connected to the flter output must not run n parallel wth cables wth nterference (e.g. crcuts controllng relays or contactors). 8

4.4. MAINTENANCE The unt does not have any nternal replaceable or adjustable components avalable to the user. Pay attenton to the ambent temperature n the room where the unt s operatng. Excessvely hgh temperatures cause faster ageng of the nternal components and shorten the fault-free tme of unt operaton. In cases where the unt gets drty do not clean wth solvents. For cleanng use warm water wth small amount of detergent or n the case of more sgnfcant contamnaton ethyl or sopropyl alcohol.! Usng any other agents can cause permanent damage to the housng. Product marked wth ths symbol should not be placed n muncpal waste. Please check local regulatons for dsposal and electronc products. 5. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION After turnng the power supply on, devce ID and software verson are showed on the dsplay, next the data stored whle power supply off are restored and devce goes to the selected operaton mode. 6.1. MEASUREMENT MODE In the countng mode (normal mode), the devce counts pulses delvered to countng nputs A and B (Fgure 6.1) depends on selected functon. There are avalable four functons: addton of pulses from A and B nputs ( Funct = A b ), subtracton of pulses from A and B nputs ( Funct = A -- b ), quadrature countng wth standard resoluton ( Funct = quad-1 ), quadrature countng wth ncreased resoluton ( Funct = quad-4 ). 14

The warnng type depends on the result and can be: -H- - f the result s hgher than 999999, -Lo- -f the result s lower than -99999, Any tme the counter can be zeroed at by: pressng of the [RESET] push-button and the confrmaton of the [] button, actvatng the external reset nput (see: reset menu), presets of the nternal regsters va RS-485 nterface. In the measurement mode user can check man thresholds values. After pressng [^] button, name of the threshold (e.g. relpr1 ) and t's value wll be dsplayed on the dsplay n alternatng mode. When the batcher mode s actve, addtonally the offset parameter can be checked. If [^] or [v] wll be pressed n 5 sec agan, the next threshold or offset wll be dsplayed, else the devce comes back to the measurement mode. If a thresholds values free access s enabled or thresholds and offset values free access s enabled (see: SECu menu), user can change the value of partcular parameter pressng button [] (see: PARAMETERS EDITION). All accessble parameters can be changed by enterng the menu (see: DEVICE PROGRAMMING). Use the local keyboard or the remote controller to do t. (Note: all parameters can be remote changed va RS-485 nterface). Countng and relays controllng are ndependent of operaton mode of the counter. They are contnued (n background) even n menu mode, but n such case maxmal nput frequency should be not greater than 8 khz. If PArUPd opton s set to on res mode, then change of parameters mul, dv, offset, Pont and all parameters of the relays controllng (see relay menu), has no nfluence on current countng process. In ths mode changed parameters wll be appled after reset (manual or automatc) or next devce power up. If PArUPd opton s set to mmed mode, then all changes of these parameters are appled mmedately. 6.2. BATCHER FUNCTION To use counter SLIK-N118 as a batcher, proper connecton to controlled crcut must be done (e.g. valves and flow detector) and parameter A offs must be set to on opton (see descrpton of SECu menu). In example showed on page 17 producer assumes use of two valves: man (bger) and addtonal (smaller). To use the counter as a batcher (t means to counter dsplays how much of some flud should be poured to fll tank) parameter Funct should be set to opton allowed subtracton of pulses delvered to countng nputs. If programmable nput { C } s used to change drecton of countng (see descrpton of Pr np parameter), state of ths nput must be taken nto consderaton. 6.3. AUTOPRALER Ths feature allows easy settng of counter prescaler ( mul, dv and Pont ) desred number of pulses per unt and dsplayed value together wth decmal pont poston. to To enter ths functon select AutoPr opton of PrESc submenu and press [] button. After that run? message s dsplayed to avod of accdental clearng of current settngs. Press [] agan to acknowledge and start the procedure. Counter sets default values of ts parameter frst ( Notce, that current counter value s beng cleared wthout savng) and goes to countng desred number of pulses per unt (parameter dv ). The devce dsplays StArt message and wats untl user delver any pulses to countng nput, after that dsplays current number of pulses. User should connect cooperatng devce to the counter and generate as number of pulses as s essental to dsplay desred value. After countng press []. In next step message SEtVAL s dsplayed, and counter wats for enterng value whch should be shown for just counted number of pulses ( t s mul parameter). Press [] agan to start edt ths value, remember that value s dsplayed wthout decmal pont, and user should enter whole value wth desred fractonal postons. Approve entered value pressng and holdng [] about 2 seconds. Next step s selecton of decmal pont poston (parameter Pont ). Counter dsplays SetPnt message and wats for acknowledge. Press [] and select pont poston. Approve t pressng [] agan. After whole procedure entered values are stored nto confguraton memory, and value of OFFSET parameter s cleared. To break autoscalng press [/] at any tme. Ths operaton causes wth restorng of all parameters mul, dv and Pont as they was defned before startng Autoscalng. The value of the counter s not restored. 6.4. THE DIGITAL FILTER To enable the connecton of the smple swtches as detectors, specal dgtal flter has been buld nto the devce. Ths flter allows the counter to proper countng pulses regardless of the vbraton of the contacts of the swtches. The condton of proper countng s provdng of tme perods of the pulses. The flter can be set to blockng frequences hgher than 10, 20, 30, 40, 50,60,70, 80 and 90Hz. The tme perods of stable states "0" (t 0) and "1" (t 1) of pulses must be not shorter than 1/2F, where F the fltered frequency n Hz. 6.5. CONTROL OF THE RELAY OUTPUTS The control of the object (measured sgnal) s realzed va relay outputs. Front panel LEDs named R ndcates the state of partcular relay output. Whle normal operaton of counter, relay output can change ts state to actve only f counter value reaches (or exceeds) the threshold (for up countng ponts A, C, E, G ). The actve state of the relay (closed or open) s defned by parameter mode. Relay R1 reacts to counter value changes mmedately. Other relays (f avalable) need that counter value be same or greater than partcular threshold durng at least 20 ms, to change the relay state. 20

It s possble to set AUTORESET functon for relay R1. Ths functon enables automatc zerong of the counter, after ts value reaches relay R1 threshold (f ArESEt = on Pr1 ) or after ts value s lower than 0 (f ArESEt = on 0 ). After zerong, counter's value equals to offset parameter (f ArESEt = on Pr1 ) or [SEtP 1 + offset - 1] value (f ArESEt = on 0 ). If AUTORESET functon s actve, then relays other than R1 (f avalable) can be actvated f ther thresholds are not greater than relay R1 threshold (f ArESEt = on Pr1 ) or not lower than 0 (f ArESEt = on 0 ). Maxmum delay between the moment when result reaches the partcular threshold and swtchng on the relay output equals 15ms for OC type output and 20ms for electromechancal relays. If AUTORESET functon s actve, and counter changes ts value wth hgh speed, relays other than R1 (f avalable) can not change t's states to actve, because the tme between moments when counter reaches ther thresholds and threshold value of relay R1 (greater than for other relays thresholds) s to short. Whle AUTORESET functon s actve some condtons must be fulflled: If ArESEt = on Pr1 then offset < SEtP 1 If ArESEt = on 0 then offset + SEtP 1 > 0 If these condtons wll not be fulflled then counter can work mproperly or can't work at all. Parameter tme defnes how long relay stay actve after ts actvaton by counter value (after moment when counter has reached partcular threshold). If parameter tme s set to 0, than relay stays n actve state (perods: t A,t C,t E,t G) as long as counter value s equal or hgher than threshold value. (traces: b, c). If parameter tme s set to value dfferent from 0, than relay stay actve durng defned tme regardless of counter value (traces: d, e). In case when perod (t X) between successve exceedng of threshold value (e.g. between ponts B and C) s shorter than perod defned by parameter tme, actvaton perod of relay s prolonged by tme (every tme when counter value goes up and reaches threshold). If parameter tme1 = 0 and AUTORESET functon s actve, relay R1 wll not change t's state to actve or wll be actvated on very short tme because of delays. If user wants to not use partcular relay (especally relay R1), ts mode of operaton should be set to noact (e.g. mode 1 = noact ). Parameter mode can be set to value modbus. In such case t s possble to drve relays va RS-485 nterface. In ths case relays are ndependent on counter value, and tme and SEtP settngs, and change of t's state can be done exclusvely va RS-485 nterface, as presets of holdng regsters (see: LIST OF REGISTERS). Whle parameter mode s set to value on or off, presets of these regsters do not causes any reacton, and readng of these regsters show actual state of partcular relays. If modbus mode s actve, than after power down and up relays are nactve. All parameters correspondng to relay outputs are descrbed n detals n chapter relay menu. 21

7. DEVICE PROGRAMMING User manual - COUNTER SLIK-N118 The devce menu allow user to set all parameters connected to operaton of measurement nput, control modes, crtcal stuatons behavour, communcaton va RS-485 and access settngs. The meanng of the partcular parameters s descrbed n paragraph DRIPTION. Some of the parameters can be accessed wthout menu enterng (quck vew mode). PROGRAMMING To enter man menu (beng n the measurement mode) operator must to press and hold at least 2 sec. [/] button. If the user password s defned (see parameter SEtCod, menu SECU ), operator have to enter correct one before proceedng to menu optons. Enterng of the passwords s smlar to the edton of numerc parameters (see: PARAMETERS EDITION), however presently edtng dgt s showed only on the dsplay, other dgts are replaced by - sgn. After enterng of last dgt of the password frst menu poston wll be dsplayed (f the password s correct) or warnng Error n other case.! Pay attenton when devce parameters are beng changed. If t s possble, turn off controlled nstallaton (machne). Functons of the buttons whle sub-menu and parameters choce: Selecton of sub-menu or parameter for edtng. Name of selected tem (submenu or parameter) s dsplayed. Operaton of [] button depend on present menu poston: f the name of some sub-menu s dsplayed - enter ths sub-menu; name of the frst parameter (or next level sub-menu) s dsplayed, f the name of some parameter s dsplayed - enter the edton of ths parameter; present value of the parameter s dsplayed, [/] button allow user to ext present menu level and goes to upper level menu (or measurement mode). After about 1 mn. snce last use of the buttons, devce exts the menu mode and returns to the measurement mode (only f no parameters are n edtng mode). 22

7.2. PARAMETERS EDITION User manual - COUNTER SLIK-N118 To start edton of any parameter user should select name of desred one usng [^] [v] buttons and then press []. 7.2.1. Numerc parameters (dgt change mode) Numercal parameters are dsplayed as decmal numbers. The mode of ts new value enterng depends on chosen edt method ( see parameter Edt ). In mode by dgt ( Edt = dg ) pressng one of the keys [^] or [v] causes change of current poston (flashng dgt) or the sgn (+/-). Short pressng of the [] button causes change of the poston (dgt). Press [] at least 2 seconds to accept the changes, after that queston SEt? s dsplayed, and user must to confrm (or cancel) the changes. To conform changes (and story t n EEPROM) press [] button shortly after SEt? s dsplayed. To cancel the changes press [] button shortly after SEt? s dsplayed. After that devce returns to the menu. 7.2.2. Numerc parameters (slde change mode) In slde change mode ( Edt = Sld ), buttons [^] and [v] has dfferent functons. To ncrease edted value press (or press and hold) [^] button only, the ncreasng became quckest as long as button [^] s pressed. To slow down the ncreasng, button [v] can be used. If [v] s pressed shortly (and button [^] s stll pressed), ncreasng slow down for a moment only, f [v] s pressed and held whle button [^] s stll pressed the ncreasng slow down and wll be kept on lower speed. To decrease edted value press (or press and hold ) [v] button only. The decreasng became quckest as long as button [v] s pressed. To slow down the decreasng, button [^] can be used. If [^] s pressed shortly (and button [v] s stll pressed), decreasng slow down for a moment only, f [^] s pressed and held whle button [v] s stll pressed the decreasng slow down and wll be kept on lower speed. Press [] at least 2 seconds to accept the changes, after that queston Set? s dsplayed, and user must to confrm (or cancel) the changes. To conform changes (and story t n EEPROM) press [] button shortly after SEt? s dsplayed. To cancel the changes press [] button shortly after SEt? s dsplayed. After that devce returns to the menu. 7.2.3. Swtch parameters ( LIST type) Swtch parameters can be descrbed as a sets of values (a lsts) out of whch only one of the optons avalable on the lst can be selected for the gven parameter. Optons of swtchng parameter are selected usng [^], [v] keys. Short pressng of [] causes n dsplayng of the acknowledge queston ( SEt? ). If key [] s pressed agan, the changes are accepted, stored n EEPROM end the edton process fnshed. Pressng the key [] after SEt? causes n cancellng of made changes and returnng to menu. 23

If there are few relay outputs avalable, then every output has ts own confguraton menu (e.g. menu relay2 for relay (LED) R2 ). When a partcular LED lghts, ts mean the relay s closed, If parameter mode s set to modbus value, after power supply off and on agan, relays are open. tme - the tme perod of the relay actve state. Can be set to values from 0.1 to 99.9, and express the tme n seconds or mnutes (dependng on unt parameter). If ths parameter s set to value dfferent from 0.0 the relay s actve ndependently of the result (even f the counter s zeroed). If ths parameter s set to 0.0 the relay stays actve as long as the result s same or hgher of the partcular threshold value. If ths parameter s set to 0.0, and the AUTORESET functon s actve, the counter wll be zeroed but relays can stay nactve or wll be actvated on very short tme because of delays. If user wants to not use partcular relay, ts mode of operaton should be set to noact (e.g. mode 1 = noact ). unt - unt of tme for tme parameter. Can be set on one of two values: mn SEC - mnutes, - seconds. ref - reference pont (offset) of relay threshold. Avalable values: Std - use 0 value as reference pont (offset) relpr1 - use threshold of the relay R1 as reference pont (offset) Ths parameter s not avalable for relay R1. If relpr1 opton s set, then relay threshold s modfed by relay R1 threshold ( SEtP 1 value). It means that state of relay (dfferent than R1) wll be changed earler or later n reference to value of the relay R1 threshold. 7.3.2. Funct parameter Ths parameter allows to defne operaton mode of the counter, and can be set to one of the values: A + B - add mode; addton of pulses from both countng nputs (A and B) to current counter result. A - B - subtract mode; Pulses from nput A are added to, and pulses from nput B ad subtracted from counter result. 25

quad-1 quad-4 - quadrature mode 1; Ths opton enables cooperaton of nputs A and B as quadrature nput wth normal resoluton, t means that counter s ncremented (decremented) by 1 every sngle quadrature cycle on nputs A and B - quadrature mode 4; Ths opton enables cooperaton of nputs A and B as quadrature nput wth ncreased resoluton, t means that counter s ncremented (decremented) by 1 every one-fourth of sngle quadrature cycle on nputs A and B. 7.3.3. Pr np parameter Ths parameter defnes the functon of the programmable nput { C }. When actve state s delvered to programmable nput, t causes of the actvatng of partcular functon. Ths parameter can be set to one of the values: dsabl - programmable nput s not actve, drect nhb - actve sgnal on the programmable nput changes countng functon (countng drecton) from A-B to B-A, from A+B to -(A+B). - programmable nput stops the countng, 7.3.4. reset parameter Ths parameter determnes the counter zerong (reset) sources, and can be set to one of the values: ALL EL man none - ths opton enables both manual (usng [RESET] button) and electronc reset. - ths opton enables external reset nput { D }. If an actve sgnal s delvered to the nput { D } the counter s zeroed, and the result stays zero ( or equal to offset) as long as the sgnal on nput { D } s actve. To made correct zerong, nput sgnal { D } must be actve at least by 1 ms. In ths mode manual reset s dsabled. - manual reset only. Ths value enables only manual reset, whch can be done by pressng the [RESET] button on the front panel. Ths operaton must to be approved by [] button. After zerong counter dsplays value equals to offset parameter. In ths mode electronc reset s dsabled. - ths opton dsables both manual and electronc reset. Zerong of the counter can be done va RS-485 nterface (by presets of some regsters wth value 0000h) ndependently of the reset parameter value. After zerong the counter, dsplayed value s equal to offset parameter. Remote zerong s avalable n all modes ( ALL, EL, man, none ). 7.3.5. ArESEt parameter Ths parameter enables the auto zerong mode (AUTORESET functon). If AUTORESET s actve the counter s zeroed nstantaneously after result reaches the relay R1 threshold value (SEtP 1) or after result reaches value lower than 0. Ths parameter can be set to: 26

off - AUTORESET functon s nactve. on Pr1 - counter s zeroed after result reaches relay R1 threshold. After zerong, counter value s equal to offset value on 0 - counter s zeroed after result reaches value lower than 0. Ths parameter can be set to values: OFF, 10 90, where ts value express the maxmum passed frequency, f OFF s set the flter s dsabled (see DIGITAL FILTER, page 18). 7.3.7. PArUPd parameter Ths opton allows to defne when such parameters as mul, dv, offset, Pont and all relay control parameters wll be updated f some changes are appled n devce menu. Possble values: mmed - changed parameters are updated mmedately, on res - changed parameters wll be updated after next reset (manual or automatc) or after next devce power up. 7.3.8. PrA menu Ths menu contans parameter whch confgure the prescallng parameters (recalculatons of counted pulses). Ths menu allows the user to set ndvdual prescalers, and to scale the counter n desred unts. If PArUPd opton s set to on res mode, then change of parameters mul, dv, offset, Pont and all parameters of the relays controllng (see relay menu), has no nfluence on current countng process. In ths mode changed parameters wll be appled after reset (manual or automatc) or next devce power up. The precounter (modulo) and man counter are nternal regsters of the counter's frmware and they contan not calculated (by mul and dv parameters) numbers of pulses delvered to the countng nputs {A} and {B}. The modulo counter contans the fractonal part of the result (rato of dv parameter). Man counter contans the nteger part of the result (not recalculated). If parameter dv s set to 1, then man counter contans the number of all pulses delvered to countng nputs. Frmware uses fxed pont arthmetc (roundng down). AutoPr - autoprescalng procedure. Detaled descrpton of ths procedure user can fnd n chapter AUTOPRALER on page 18. 7.3.9. rs-485 menu Ths menu s connected wth RS-485 nterface, and sets hs propertes: Addr baud - ths parameter defnes the address of the devce, accordngly to Modbus protocol. It can be set n range from 0 to 199. If the value 0 s set then devce, responds to frames wth address 255 (FFh). - ths parameter determnes RS-485 nterface baud rate. It can be set to one of 8 possble values: 1.2, 2.4, 4.8, 9.6, 19.2, 38.4, 57.6, 115.2, whch respond to the baud rates of 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200 bt/s respectvely. mbacce - ths parameter sets the access to the confguraton regsters of the devce. Possble values: on - confguraton regsters can be set va RS-485 nterface, off - confguraton regsters can not be set va RS-485 nterface. The access to regsters no 04h 08h cant be dened by mbacce parameter (see: LIST OF REGISTERS). mbtme - ths parameter defnes maxmal tme (sec) between followng frames receved by the devce. Parameter mbtme can be set to values from 0 to 99 seconds. The value 0 means that the tme wll be not controlled. 28

resp - ths parameter defnes mnmal (addtonal) delay between the Modbus message and the answer of the devce (receved and sent va RS-485 nterface). Ths addtonal delay allows the devce to work wth poor RS-converters whch do not works properly on baud rates hgher than 19200. Ths parameter can be set to one of values: Std 10c 20c 50c 100c 200c - answer as quck as possble, no addtonal delay - answer delayed of 10, 20, 50, 100 of 200 chars respectvely, where one character tme depends on selected baud rate In the most cases parameter resp should be set to Std (no addtonal delay). Enterng ths password causes n clearng of user password, t means sets the user password to 0000. The one-use password can be used ONE TIME ONLY, t s mpossble to use t agan! The one-use password can be restored by Servce Dvson only. A rel1, A rel2 - ths optons permts user ( on ) or prohbts ( off ) to modfy the thresholds of the relays/leds R1 R2 wthout knowledge about user password.
