fleece and the braiding effect makes this a versatile gift for loved ones. SUPPLIES & TOOLS: One piece of 19" square fleece Two pieces of 19"x 12" fleece Scissors Tape measure Disappearing ink pen DIRECTIONS: Lay out the square piece of fleece. Place the two pieces of fleece on top of the square pieces with the edges aligned and the middle of the two pieces overlapping. Pin in place. Cut away 2" squares from each corner. Cut fringe along each edge that is 1" wide and 2" deep, cutting through both the top and bottom fabrics. Cut a small hole in the middle of every fringe piece, approximately 1/4" wide. Starting at one corner, pull the bottom piece of fringe through the small hole in the top piece of fringe. Then alternate by pulling the next top piece of fringe through the hole in the bottom fringe of the piece that was just pulled through the hole. Continue alternating top piece, bottom piece, around the entire blanket. When there is only one piece of fringe remaining, cut it in half and pull one half through the small hole of the previous piece. Knot the two halves together and tuck in the ends. Nifty Needles Quilt Guild, Paris, KY July 31, 2018 Minutes The monthly business meeting was opened by Sherry Schnieder, President, on July 31, 2018. There were approximately 18 members who gathered together at the new location of Quilter's Square in Lexington, KY. There were 3 new members in attendance. They are Winn Theirl, Kay Miller and Susan Gibson. WELCOME! The quilt show, set for September 8th, was discussed. Please fill out your quilt forms. People are interested in the stories behind the making of each quilt. Be sure to tack a piece of muslin on the back of each item with your name and phone number. Any questions or if you need more information please contact Cheryl Stone. We would really love for everyone to participate. We also talked about how we were going to advertise the quilt show. There are still lots of tickets to be sold for the beautiful UK quilt raffle. The meeting was concluded with a wonderful "Show and Tell", some shopping and a delicious Chocolate/ Cherry dessert provided by Quilter's Square. Respectfully submitted,
