YOUR 2017 BOARD OF DIRECTORS Jason Shriner, President Jason Shriner has been a licensed Realtor for eleven years. This is his fifth year serving on the Board of Directors of LDAR. He has chaired the Special Events Committee, the Professional Standards Committee, the Finance Committee and is the current sitting President. In his spare time, Jason is an avid mountaineer and wildlife enthusiast as well as a runner, and ballroom dancer. Jason works with Sun City Realty, Lethbridge. Cary Ronspies, Vice President Cary started in organized real estate in 2010 and has been working as an agent with Sutton Group, Lethbridge. In 2013 he ran for the Board of Directors of LDAR and was elected and is now serving his second term. Cary brings to the Board table a skill set that was honed through years of self employment, dealing with a multitude of employees and customers, always in the public eye. Running his own business all those years made him a jack of all trades, having to deal with finances, technology, governance, labor standards, and leadership.
Jim Saunders Jim has been a licensed member of the LDAR since 1983. He first served as a director in 1987 and 1988, again from 1999 to 2004, and was President in 2002. He represented the Association provincially for 8 years, from 2005 to 2012, and was the President of AREA in 2010. During that same period he sat on the Residential Advisory Committee to RECA for 2 years. He was recently appointed a Governor for the Alberta Real Estate Foundation for a three-year term. Highlights of his contributions include chairing the Tech Committee that selected Filogix as our MLS provider, making Lethbridge the first Alberta Board to use an internet based MLS provider. Provincially he advocated for the harmonization of MLS data, and campaigned across the province successfully to create the Alberta Data Coop. For 2 years, he chaired AREA's Governance Review Task Force. Jim is a career REALTOR with Re/Max Real Estate Lethbridge who makes a living listing and selling real estate. David Agema David has been a licensed REALTOR since 1981, and has been on the Board of Directors for LDAR for the past 5 years. He has served as President of LDAR, and is co-broker/owner of Prudential Top 5 Real Estate (since 2004). This is the only career I've ever had and do understand the constant changes happening in our industry. His goal for LDAR is to push out redundancy and help members continue to grow their value via education as per ABR courses and technology courses as needed. Rather than wait for change to be forced on, let's be the force of change. Change happens easier when systems are in place to educate about the changes. David is a Director of the Lethbridge Rotary Club, and is Wood's Homes Lethbridge Gala Co- Chairperson with Elaine Agema.

With that, he is constantly working with budgets, salaries, bonuses, and other aspects of financially running a business. Justin is a strong communicator, and he believes that comes with his ability to listen to all sides of a discussion before making up his mind. The way things are going, we as a board should be always looking towards the future, and what technology can do for us. Currently, Justin sits on two condominium boards and is the Secretary for both. Governance of a good meeting is key when dealing with as many voting members as a condo board can have. I have put in a few years in this role, and will continue to do so.
