YOUR 2017 BOARD OF DIRECTORS Jason Shriner, President Jason Shriner has been a licensed Realtor for eleven years. This is his fifth year serving on the Board of Directors of LDAR. He has chaired the Special Events Committee, the Professional Standards Committee, the Finance Committee and is the current sitting President. In his spare time, Jason is an avid mountaineer and wildlife enthusiast as well as a runner, and ballroom dancer. Jason works with Sun City Realty, Lethbridge. Cary Ronspies, Vice President Cary started in organized real estate in 2010 and has been working as an agent with Sutton Group, Lethbridge. In 2013 he ran for the Board of Directors of LDAR and was elected and is now serving his second term. Cary brings to the Board table a skill set that was honed through years of self employment, dealing with a multitude of employees and customers, always in the public eye. Running his own business all those years made him a jack of all trades, having to deal with finances, technology, governance, labor standards, and leadership.

Jim Saunders Jim has been a licensed member of the LDAR since 1983. He first served as a director in 1987 and 1988, again from 1999 to 2004, and was President in 2002. He represented the Association provincially for 8 years, from 2005 to 2012, and was the President of AREA in 2010. During that same period he sat on the Residential Advisory Committee to RECA for 2 years. He was recently appointed a Governor for the Alberta Real Estate Foundation for a three-year term. Highlights of his contributions include chairing the Tech Committee that selected Filogix as our MLS provider, making Lethbridge the first Alberta Board to use an internet based MLS provider. Provincially he advocated for the harmonization of MLS data, and campaigned across the province successfully to create the Alberta Data Coop. For 2 years, he chaired AREA's Governance Review Task Force. Jim is a career REALTOR with Re/Max Real Estate Lethbridge who makes a living listing and selling real estate. David Agema David has been a licensed REALTOR since 1981, and has been on the Board of Directors for LDAR for the past 5 years. He has served as President of LDAR, and is co-broker/owner of Prudential Top 5 Real Estate (since 2004). This is the only career I've ever had and do understand the constant changes happening in our industry. His goal for LDAR is to push out redundancy and help members continue to grow their value via education as per ABR courses and technology courses as needed. Rather than wait for change to be forced on, let's be the force of change. Change happens easier when systems are in place to educate about the changes. David is a Director of the Lethbridge Rotary Club, and is Wood's Homes Lethbridge Gala Co- Chairperson with Elaine Agema.

Justin Myer Justin s background is mostly a business to business sales life, and now is focused on building real estate wealth with a buy and hold strategy. Justin is with Lethbridge Real Estate.com and he manages 4 buyers agents and 2 full time admin assistants. With that, he is constantly working with budgets, salaries, bonuses, and other aspects of financially running a business. Justin is a strong communicator, and he believes that comes with his ability to listen to all sides of a discussion before making up his mind. The way things are going, we as a board should be always looking towards the future, and what technology can do for us. Currently, Justin sits on two condominium boards and is the Secretary for both. Governance of a good meeting is key when dealing with as many voting members as a condo board can have. I have put in a few years in this role, and will continue to do so. Mary Gordon Mary has been a member of LDAR for the past 30 years and has been involved on both the local and provincial real estate boards in a variety of capacities, from Board of Directors duties through to President of LDAR; to AREA education committee member, to AREA and RECA Instructor. Having sat on finance, professional standards, by-laws, education, political action rep, and a Broker since 1994 owning and operating a brokerage for years, she understanding of all sides of our members. I truly believe that organized real estate is a system that works best for our industry. Her passion is for the Education component of our industry and believes we must put our customers needs and their wishes of how they want to do business with us first. Mary has completed many Educational Real Estate based courses such as Real Estate Broker, Mortgage Broker, Appraisal 101, CSP (Certified Staging Professional) Know Your Product Canadian Home Builders Course, Mediation, Negotiating through LCC, H & R Income Tax, just to mention a few. Mary is currently an Associate Broker with Re/Max Real Estate-Lethbridge and prides herself on working co-operatively and respectively with all MLS Members of LDAR.

Maurice Roy Maurice started in real estate in 1983: Delbro Real Estate - 1983 to 1990; Broker in 1987; Broker for Preferred Properties, A Qualico Company - 1990 to 1994; Manager at Qualico head office - 1994 to 1997; Sales manager, Greentree Homes - 1997 2000; Elected to the Winnipeg Real Estate Board Executive in 1991; Seven years as a member of the Executive Including President in 1996; Two years as a director for the Manitoba Real Estate Association. Maurice Roy's skills are in accounting, leadership and consensus building. His many years on the Executive in Winnipeg included 2 years on finance leading the transition from % fee based revenue to cost fee basis. He also, spent 2 years as past president to help the board develop its home charity program. Bev Leblanc Bev LeBlanc is passionate about helping people become better communicators and leaders, believing one naturally follows the other in every aspect of life personally and professionally. She has been extensively involved in the community for nearly 20 years, active in the volunteer sector for a variety of non-profit organizations such as Friends of the Chinook Regional Hospital, The Lethbridge Community Network, and Streets Alive. She is trained under the Alberta Board Development Program to deliver workshops to assist non-profit organizations in being more effective. Bev is a former teacher who is celebrating her tenth year in real estate. She is an active participant in the Toastmaster International organization and is also trained and certified with the John Maxwell Leadership Team, a world-renowned organization which seeks to inspire, challenge, and equip you to develop the leader within you and become a difference maker. She is a volunteer with the Victim & Witness Services Unit of the Lethbridge Police. She participates with the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce as well, sitting on the Ambassador Committee for the past three years. Bev works with Re/Max Real Estate, Lethbridge.

Miles Godlonton Miles brings a wealth of experience to the LDAR board. Miles has been in the real estate industry since 1976 and broker of Lethbridge Real Estate.com.
