USING HALF PATTERNS When one-half of pattern (indicated by dashed line on pattern) is shown, fold tracing paper in half and place fold along dashed line of pattern. Trace pattern half, including all placement symbols and markings; turn folded paper over and draw over all markings. Unfold pattern and lay flat. Cut out pattern. SEWING SHAPES 1. Center pattern on wrong side of one fabric piece and use fabric marking pencil or pen to draw around pattern. DO NOT CUT OUT SHAPE. 2. Place fabric pieces right sides together. Leaving an opening for turning, carefully sew pieces together directly on pencil line. 3. Leaving a ¼" seam allowance, cut out shape. Clip seam allowance at curves and corners.
