Scope and Contents of the Collection This collection is an assembled collection of clippings and scrapbooks of clippings about the Massachusetts Institute of Technology covering the period 1869-1926, with one additional scrapbook covering the period 1948-1949. The mounted clippings in boxes 6 to 11 covering the period 1911-1917 concern the proposed move of the Masschusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from Boston to a new Cambridge campus, which occured in June 1916. These clippings were donated by and likely collected by Theodore Grover, an employee of MIT from 1878 to 1918. Creators of other clipping and scrapbook materials in this collection are unknown.
